My files have again been deleted. I give up this time. I have too much else to do, and I'm on the brink of getting a job writing for TV, so I'm not about to get a bunch of extra time in the next several weeks anyway.

TEASER
1. Mary Alice talks about how Paul always knew how to anticipate what was coming up. We see him at home and then--
2. FLASHBACK - Paul was one of the first to adopt Velcro
3. FLASHBACK - Paul was one of the first to anticipate the three-dollar cup of coffee.
4. FLASHBACK - Paul also used bottled water first.
5. Back in the present, there’s a knock at the door. It’s Detective Sullivan, who tells Paul he’s taking him downtown for questioning concerning credit card fraud. Paul exits, and Felicia’s watching.
6. At the police station, Sullivan’s told that he must book Paul elsewhere, as the computers are down.
7. Sullivan puts Paul in the back of a truck, where a couple creeps give him a hello from Deidre’s father -- and then they attack Paul.

ACT ONE
1. Mary Alice talks about Bree’s weekly routine…
2. Bree cleans on Tuesdays…
3. pays bills on Wednesdays…
4. does laundry on Thursdays…
5. And she rewards herself with a drink. Outside, Gabrielle Lynette, and Susan are discussing Bree.
6. Lynette’s told the women about what happened with Bree and her kids. As Lynette drives off to work as Bree comes out and wants to know what Lynette was talking about. She teases it out that Lynette mentioned the alcohol issue but Bree lies about her alcohol use. As Bree leaves, Susan and Gabrielle mention they could smell alcohol on her breath.
7. Tom does a presentation -- badly. Lynette looks bored and questions it being too similar to another campaign. But Lynette thinks there’s room for improvement.
8. Later Tom talks to Lynette privately. She maintains he did a half-assed job and she knows he was wrapped up with his game on TV the night before instead of working on his presentation.
9. At the hospital, Susan’s greeted by Dr. Ron and her surgeon -- whose hand is in a cast. Dr. Ron is going to do the surgery with the other doctor aiding. Nurse Heisel brings in a huge bouquet of flowers Dr. Ron bought. He’s been thinking of his future with Susan and expressed his feelings on the card. After he leaves, Susan reads the card and the nurse wants to read it too. She seems to love the card more than Susan does…
10. Gabrielle and Carlos meet with an adoption counselor who informs them that it’s the birth mother who chooses the parent, not the other way around. They’ll have to come up with a parent portfolio featuring pictures and character references. Gabrielle doesn’t like the idea that a slutty cheerleader could get knocked up and then be put into the position of getting to choose her baby’s parent.
11. Andrew finds Bree outside, drinking. He wants a car, and can get it, if Bree lets him have access to his trust fund before he’s 21. Bree refuses. After Andrew notes Bree’s on her 3rd glass of wine before noon and calls her a mean old drunk, Bree slaps him.

ACT TWO
1. Susan wakes up in her hospital bed to find Karl reading (and mocking) Dr. Ron’s card to her. She admits she likes Dr. Ron, but she’s not ready to be in love with him just yet. Susan and Karl trade barbs. As Karl exits, he makes a comment to Nurse Heisel about Susan being his wife.
2. Gabrielle and Carlos are looking for wholesome pictures of themselves but all the photos are of them being naked, or smoking, or drinking. What can they do? Gabrielle comes up with a plan.
3. Gabrielle and Carlos have gone to Lynette, and they want her to write a letter about why they should be parents. They’ve also brought Lynette wine as a gift. They also get permission to be named godparents to Lynette’s kids. And they want pictures of themselves with Lynette’s kids…
4. Felicia and Mike meet up outside. She reveals she came back to take care of some old business. He learns from her that Paul was taken away by the police. They see Zach is on the phone…
5. Mike and Noah talk on the phone, and Noah suggests Paul’s been taken care of. As the call ends, Mike gets out his gun…
6. The Scavo family’s having dinner at home. Tom tells his wife the meatloaf is burnt, and wants her to admit she didn’t give dinner her best effort, because no one can be doing 100% all the time. Lynette apologizes to Tom in hopes of getting past their issues, then asks the kids how they like the meatloaf, and they think it’s too salty…
7. Andrew’s put a ring on Justin’s finger. Then Justin punches Andrew! Andrew insists Justin do it again, if he loves him. And Justin hits Andrew again.

ACT THREE
1. In their bedroom, Tom and Lynette want to turn around their day--with sex! He kisses her and they get on the bed. First, he’s on top, but then she ends up on top. Tom pulls away and says that he can tell she always needs to be on top! They try again until Tom accuses her of bracing his leg to keep from being put on bottom. He claims she’s always in charge of everything, and she responds by saying he needs to step up. Tom goes to check on their kids…
2. Nurse Heisel goes to check Susan’s blood pressure, but presses it far too hard. The nurse reveals she knows Susan’s married! She calls Susan a skank. Susan tries to pull herself up to go to the nurse as she exits, but is tangled up in all the machines she’s hooked up to. Susan finally makes her way to the nurse’s station and confesses her marriage fraud. The nurse changes her tune about Susan and tells Susan that Dr. Ron is working up the courage to tell Susan he loves her.
3. Bree finds Mr. Bormanis, a lawyer, in her house. He’s been hired by Andrew who claims his black eye was caused by Bree hitting him.
4. Later, the three are sitting down. Andrew plans on getting emancipated so he can have access to his trust fund. Bree needs time to think about this.
5. At the adoption agency, Gabrielle and Carlos look at the pictures of them with Lynette’s kids. They’re invites back to see their counselor…as Helen Rowland, John’s mother, sees them.
6. Meeting with the counselor, Gabrielle and Carlos can’t remember all of Lynette’s kids’ names. Enter Helen, who tells the counselor she knows Gabrielle--because Gabrielle raped her son. And Carlos was in prison! Helen makes it obvious she’ll make sure Gabrielle and Carlos will never adopt anywhere.

ACT FOUR
1. At the hospital, Susan tells Lynette she’s going to break up with Dr. Ron because there’s no thunderbolt between them. But Susan talks herself into concluding that the thunderbolt between her and Karl and Mike went badly, and Dr. Ron can provide the stability she needs. Lynette still loves the thunderbolt, though!
2. Carlos doesn’t think they’re ever going to be parents now, but Gabrielle’s willing to do anything to get a baby. This is the first time Carlos has ever felt Gabrielle wanted a baby, and that’s because no one ever told her she couldn’t have one. Gabrielle is sure there are ways to get babies…if you can afford to pay.
3. Mike’s with Zach when Felicia comes to the door with macaroons. She wants to make amends between her and Zach. That’s when a car drives up and Paul gets out.
4. FLASHBACK -- Paul is attacked in the truck, but he attacks back.
5. As Paul approaches the house and Zach runs to hug him, Paul takes a macaroon and asks how Felicia knew he loved them. Felicia looks appropriately stunned.

ACT FIVE
1. Paul and Mike discuss Noah. Paul plans to be gone by morning, but Mike says there’s no use in leaving, as Noah surely has someone watching, and he has cops on his side. Zach’s listening on the stairs as Mike tells Paul to let Zach and Noah meet. Paul’s against this idea but Noah comes down and agrees to meet Noah.
2. Tom and Lynette are about to exit the elevator when Tom pulls her back in and brings the machine to a halt. He apologizes for his behavior to this point and knows this is his issue to deal with. She kisses him and he kisses back, wanting to go even further. She thinks they can’t do this, but this is him being in charge, so they continue.
3. Carlos and Gabrielle are with an adoption lawyer who’s going to use unconventional methods to get them a child, as soon as they can provide proof of their interest in doing so. Gabrielle proves this by giving him a $20,000 check.
4. Noah meets with Zach for the first time, as Mike stands there too. Noah admits to his efforts to kill Paul, and Zach tells his grandfather he’ll never see him again if he tries to harm his father. Noah’s pleased Zach’s resorted to blackmail, but wonders which father Zach was talking about. Zach thinks the only father he ever wants is Paul. And then, Noah asks if Zach and Mike are up for some meaningless small talk….

ACT SIX
1. Mike walks into the hospital waiting room with flowers where Karl teases him. Karl tells Mike about Dr. Ron’s card to Susan and claims Susan loved it. Susan’s wheeled out for surgery and insists on talking with Mike first. She’s all drugged up and is incredibly touched Mike showed up. As she’s led away for surgery, Mike exits, not caring about his flowers anymore.
2. Dr. Ron, the other surgeon, and Susan are about to do the surgery. He ends up telling Susan he loves her, but she returns the favor by…saying she loves Mike! Who’s Mike? As Susan babbles on about Mike and love, Nurse Heisel admits that Susan’s married to someone named Karl. The other surgeon is ready to begin surgery, and Dr. Ron says, “Let’s cut this bitch open.”
3. Bree’s dumping out her wine, and Andrew learns it’s because of their hearing in 4 weeks. She’s going to AA tomorrow, because perception is reality, and people perceive she has a drinking problem, so she’s going to pretend she’s a recovering alcoholic. She’s not done with Andrew yet, even as he wants her to let him go. He calls his mother a stone cold bitch and she tosses a wine bottle at the wall. Andrew tells his mother he hates her, but Bree takes that as a good sign, because the opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s indifference. She believes she still has a chance to set things right with him.
4. Mary Alice talks about Bree’s routine…she still cleans on Tuesdays…
5. Pays the bills on Wednesdays…
6. Does the laundry on Thursdays…
7. But now, on Fridays, she drives away…
8. to an AA meeting. Bree tells the group she’s an alcoholic, but Mary Alice says Bree didn’t really believe it.
9. And after the AA meeting, Bree comes home and rewards herself with a drink.

TEASER
1. Susan sits at her table as Mary Alice says Susan believed the punishment should fit the crime.
2. FLASHBACK: Susan finds lipstick on Karl’s shirt collar.
3. FLASHBACK: Susan destroys Karl’s trophy with a vise and hammer.
4. FLASHBACK: Susan burns Karl’s dress shoes on a BBQ.
5. FLASHBACK: Susan runs over Karl’s golf clubs with her car.
6. Susan’s sitting at her table with Karl and Julie. He reminds his soon-to-be-wife that they have to keep quiet about their nuptials, as this is insurance fraud. Julie thinks the marriage is a mistake and insists that it be a business arrangement only. Karl wants Susan to find her wedding ring, and insists she find it, even after she says she threw it out her car window the night their marriage fell apart.
7. Karl watches Susan as she uses a metal detector to find the ring in the brush by the side of the road.

ACT ONE
1. A depressed Bree sits at a restaurant table. She talks to her waiter, Tony, about the horrible events of her life and he convinces her to take a cab home. She wants some more wine before she goes.
2. Bree arrives home thanks to a cab. She drops her keys on the grass, then kneels down to pick them up.
3. Mrs. McCluskey finds Bree passed out on the lawn. She rings the Van De Kamp’s doorbell and gets Andrew, who’s nonchalant about his mother’s condition and takes care of the problem by turning on the sprinklers. Bree gets up quickly and runs inside.
4. Lynette answers her door to find Mrs. McCluskey, who’s there to babysit as Tom and Lynette were called in to work for the weekend. Lynette didn’t know about this at all and gets Tom to follow her into the laundry room…
5. where Lynette chews Tom out for hiring Mrs. McCluskey, who’s old and will be killed off by having to deal with the kids. Tom reminds her they have to be to work in an hour, and she should be quiet as it’s a thin door. Lynette insists she’ll hire someone else.
6. Back in the living room, Lynette tells Mrs. McCluskey they don’t need her after all. As Mrs. M. leaves, she notes Tom’s right . . . it is a thin door.
7. Gabrielle’s bringing several bags out of her car when she looks to the upper window of her home and sees Carlos talking to a woman in a towel. She runs inside…
8. …where she finds wine and glasses downstairs…
9. And upstairs she finds…her mother!

ACT TWO
1. Later, Gabrielle’s mother Lucia tells Gabrielle she had to shower because of the fat sweaty man sitting next to her on the plane. Gabrielle wonders why she isn’t with her latest rich husband; apparently, though, she left him, and is miffed Gabrielle doesn’t care. Lucia cheered herself up by buying new breasts, which she shows off to Gabrielle, who doesn’t want to see that! Carlos is charmed by Lucia, who goes upstairs; Gabrielle tells her husband her mother’s a monster.
2. Susan’s scrubbing her wedding ring, but tosses it aside as Dr. Ron comes in, having spent the night. He has to go but tells her of their dinner plans for that night, while also saying they can move up her surgery. But Susan doesn’t want to do that, though she doesn’t mention it’s because she’s about to marry Karl. After Dr. Ron leaves, Susan feels bad about lying to Dr. Ron, but Julie convinces her she’s doing it for the right reason. Susan tells Julie to take the ring to Karl--and she’s to swallow it before letting Edie find it!
3. Andrew teases his mother about his hangover, even as Bree claims she doesn’t have a hangover but did have a bad combo of antihistamines and alcohol. Danielle wonders why Bree couldn’t drink in her room alone instead. The doorbell rings -- it’s Lynette, who wants Bree to babysit her kids.
4. Zach and Paul comment on Mary Alice’s beauty as they look at her wedding photo. Zach wonders if he looks like his biological mom or dad and Paul gets mad about this, not wanting his son to mention this any further.
5. Noah’s in bed as Detective Sullivan is filling him in on Mary Alice and Paul putting Deirdre’s body in a toy trunk. Sullivan wonders if Noah wants Paul killed. Noah’s initially more interested in getting a MP3 player for Zach, but he then tells Sullivan to make sure that Paul gets a toy trunk of his own. Felicia is listening in to this from the next room.

ACT THREE
1. Downstairs, Edie calls up to Karl to clean his mess, but he’s busy watching his game. She’s not in a happy mood at all -- until she sees the engagement ring and pre-nup agreement in his briefcase. As Karl comes to clean his mess, Edie has a change of heart and tells him to enjoy his game.
2. Bree wants Lynette’s twins to stop banging their toy piano, as she has a hangover. To help her hangover, Bree drinks more wine, as the twins bang on their piano.
3. At the doctor’s office, Gabrielle’s told there’s been some complications.
4. Later, at home, Gabrielle’s told her mother that it’s doubtful she can have kids. Gabrielle’s not shaken, as they can adopt, though Carlos is depressed about this option. Gabrielle considers using surrogacy, but Carlos doesn’t like the idea of dealing with a stranger. That’s when Lucia says she can be the surrogate! Gabrielle’s sure her mother is too old, and is totally against the idea, even as Carlos likes the concept.
5. Bree’s passed out on her couch. One of the twins picks up Bree’s arm and then drops it, seeing it flop down.
6. Outside, the twins push Penny in her stroller.
7. Bree wakes up and wonders where the boys went.
8. She searches all over the house.
9. Bree runs down Wisteria Lane, calling out for the boys.

ACT FOUR
1. Bree asks Mrs. McCluskey if she’s seen the boys, but Mrs. M. hasn’t.
2. Lynette gets a call from a hairdresser, who has the kids…
3. Tom and Lynette arrive at the salon to pick up the kids. The hairdresser is not happy the kids were not being supervised. Lynette tries to claim the kids have a great babysitter, but Tom points out they were able to walk 3 miles. Lynette and Tom exit with the kids.
4. Gabrielle tells Lucia she wants to go out shopping and possibly consider the surrogacy idea.
5. Gabrielle drops Lucia off at a hotel, then starts off--Gabrielle tells her mother to check into the hotel and then leave their lives forever.
6. Bree’s relieved to see Tom and Lynette have found the kids. She tells Lynette she was in the kitchen when the kids vanished, even as the kids say she was sleeping after drinking. Lynette makes her kids apologize to Bree for lying.
7. Carlos is mad at Gabrielle for sending Lucia away, and blames her issues with her mother on leaving home fifteen years ago. Gabrielle left home after being sexually abused by her stepfather, and Gabrielle says her mother knew what was going on and chose to look the other way. She refuses to do anything more for her mother other than give her back her luggage.
8. Paul answers the knock at his door -- it’s Mike, who tells him about Noah insisting on meeting him. Zach’s listening in as Mike says Paul should leave town with Noah. Zach overhears Paul mention that Mike is Zach’s father…

ACT FIVE
1. Ron and Susan are at a restaurant and see Karl and Edie are also there. Karl’s already ordered a soufflee for Edie, though she doesn’t really want it. Edie goes off to powder her nose and pulls Susan off to join her.
2. In the bathroom, Edie rubs it in to Susan that Karl is about to propose. Susan’s surprised, til she learns Edie found the ring and pre-nup. Edie believes the ring’s hidden in her dessert.
3. Susan gives a note for a waiter to deliver, but the waiter delivers the note to the wrong man, who storms out as he thinks his date expects a proposal and she knows he’s already married. Edie fingers her soufflee but finds nothing.
4. Carlos has brought Lucia her luggage, and they talk as he zips up her dress. He brings up the issue with her stepfather and she says she knew all about this -- and says it was Gabrielle’s fault for seducing her husband! Carlos realizes that Gabrielle’s mother truly is the monster Gabrielle sees her as.
5. Susan has been waiting outside Karl’s home for him to come outside, and when he does, she fills him in on Edie thinking he was going to propose. Karl decides he’s going to propose to Edie for real to throw her off the scent, as he would probably have proposed eventually. Karl wonders if Susan’s jealous, and Susan insists she’s not, but as he hugs his future wife, Karl doesn’t see the look on Susan’s face makes it look likely she’s lying.
6. Carlos comes home and tells Gabrielle they can adopt, as blood isn’t everything.

ACT SIX

1 Lynette learns from Mrs. McCluskey that Bree was passed out on her lawn.
2. Later, Lynette confronts Bree about the holes in her story, and confronts Bree about her drinking. Bree insists she has no alcohol problem and goes inside. Lynette starts going through her trash and finds many bottles. Mary Alice begins to talk about asking for help with small favors…
3. Susan and Karl get married by a justice of the peace. Karl kisses Susan.
4. Mrs. McCluskey agrees to take care of Tom’s kids, and points out how clogged her rain gutters are.
5. At the hotel, Lucia is on the phone with her aunt, and making plans to go help her.
6. Bree comes outside to find a dozen wine bottles, with a note from Lynette wondering if Bree has a problem. But Lynette just walks back inside as Bree doesn’t appear to see her problem.

TEASER

1. Mary Alice begins to talk about how numerous women come together at Maxine Bennett’s house for a meal. But Bree’s convinced that Maxine is lying about her ability to put together something like this herself. When Bree wonders this, Maxine insists she did it all herself -- a 6 course meal for 10 women. Bree’s angry about this as she’s still sure Maxine is lying, and notes the pudding takes too long for Maxine to have done this all herself.
Just then, there’s noise at the door -- it’s the FBI, and they come in with a warrant to look around. They burst into a side room and find a Chinese woman there: it’s Maxine’s slave! As Maxine is led away by the FBI, one of the other women is stunned by the revelation, but Mary Alice tells us Bree wasn’t surprised at all -- as the proof was in the pudding.

ACT ONE

1. Mary Alice talks about unlikely friendships, and we see several of them -- including a well-to-do woman and a tattooed man, a mailman who kisses a pit bull, etc. And then we see Edie and Susan as they approach Bree outside, wanting to know why she’s become friends with Betty. Bree tries to push away this talk but Edie questions whether this has something to do with Danielle and Matthew dating, as she was told Matthew and Danielle were kissing in the park. Bree insists she knows what she’s doing…
2. At work, Lynette’s a bit annoyed as Tom kisses her. He wants her help with their boss, Ed. But Lynette can’t protect her husband at work, she insists. He needs to find his own way to bond wth him.
3. Tom’s pitch for their client about bacon is bombing badly, and the only one laughing is Lynette. Lynette steers Tom towards his other proposed pitch, which involves a fraternity. And Tom and Ed begin to bond over experiences with fraternities. They agree to talk about the pitch over lunch . . .
4. Carlos is outside his home with Father Crowley when Gabrielle approaches. They’re introduced to Xiao-Mei, the newly freed slave, and Gabrielle learns Carlos agreed to let her stay in the guest room. Gabrielle pulls Carlos aside and complains about this.
5. Bree comes into Danielle’s bedroom and they end up arguing over how Danielle told Matthew the truth about Andrew’s secrets. Doesn’t she know that Andrew could go to prison if the truth goes out? Danielle encourages Bree to be nice to Betty, and everything will work out. Bree tells Danielle a story about how her stepmother once told Bree she had beauty, wit, cunning, and insight for her weapons. Bree urges her daughter to take care of her looks, as she doesn’t have any other weapons at her disposal…
6. Susan’s at Karl’s door. She doesn’t have medical insurance, and wonders if there’s someone she can sue about that.
7. A bit later, Susan’s inside with Karl and Edie. She doesn’t have medical insurance thanks to her former agent Lonnie. And she needs the operation for her wandering spleen as soon as possible. Desperate, Susan even says a small prayer. Edie has a solution: if Susan marries someone with insurance, all her problems will be solved. Susan likes the idea. But who to marry? Edie decides that maybe prayer wouldn’t be a bad idea after all . . .

ACT TWO

1. At work, Tom tosses some food into his mouth, and Ed says he’ll give him $200 if he can catch food like that 3 times in a row. Tom agrees, but there’s a catch: Ed’s going to throw the food to Tom! Lynette appears to think this is all stupid. Tom catches the first, and the second, but for the third Ed throws it badly and hits Tom. Ed gives Tom the money anyway.
2. Gabrielle comes home to find Xiao-Mei doing something with her clothing. At first she’s mad, until she realizes Xiao-Mei fixed the outfit perfectly. Xiao-Mei takes her to the next room where she’s got food for her. And Gabrielle loves it!
3. Later, Carlos is trying to kiss Gabrielle, but she seems to prefer the food. As they start to kiss and she gets undressed, she questions whether they should send Xiao-Mei back to China, given that people in China are sent to camps if they speak out against the government. Wouldn’t it be better for her to stay in America and learn about freedom? But Carlos knows she just wants her as their maid. When they argue a bit, Gabrielle walks off, telling Carlos she’s mad for him not helping spread freedom and democracy.
4. At a restaurant, Edie’s with a man named Gary, and Susan approaches. Edie has to leave. Susan’s a bit taken aback to learn Gary wants to marry her because he’s gay and hasn’t come out to his mother, who’s said she won’t die until he’s married. They shake hands and agree to the marriage.
5. At Noah’s place, Felicia brings Noah his pills and the mail. She watches as he sees a note saying, “YOU HAVE A GRANDCHILD” but then she lies about where it came from. He calls Detective Sullivan, telling him that Mike’s been keeping something from him.

ACT THREE

1. Betty and Matthew leave their house, as Bree watches --
2. Bree gets the keys to the house, which she has because of the previous owners’ trusting her--
3. And Bree gets into the Applewhite home, bringing a cobbler with her. She calls for Caleb, who comes downstairs. He comes down and she introduces herself. He smiles when she says she brought cobbler..
4. Lynette hears clapping and asks secretary Pat about it; she says that Tom agreed to eat a doughnut out of the toilet.
5. Tom’s preparing to dunk his doughnut when Lynette pulls him aside and urges him to not do it. But this is his in with Ed, he urges, and he’s doing it.
6. Bree’s talking with Caleb, who reveals he’s been staying in the basement. Does she want to see his former home?
7. Caleb brings Bree to the basement and sees what his living conditions were like. Why would Betty do this to him?, she wonders. He reveals he hurt a girl named Melanie, and then she died . She was pretty . . . just like Bree.

ACT FOUR

1. Mike’s outside when Susan approaches and says she’s getting married. To the doctor?, Mike asks. No -- to a gay guy. And then she explains her problem. Does Mike think it’s crazy? No, he doesn’t. Detective Sullivan approaches and Susan excuses herself. Noah knows about the grandchild and wants to meet him. When Mike balks at this, Sullivan says he’s willing to track down the child. Mike agrees to be there at Noah’s house the next morning.
2. Xiao-Mei is brushing Gabrielle’s hair and also looking at her jewelry. Gabrielle’s a bit unhappy Xiao-Mei wants to go back to China. She tries to play up the fact that she’s like Xiao-Mei. She even gives the Chinese woman a trinket from her jewelry. Xiao-Mei likes this a lot and ends up hugging Gabrielle, who encourages Xiao-Mei to brush her hair again.
3. Outside a wedding chapel, Gary tells Susan this is the best he could do…
4. And they go inside to find Gary’s best man -- and life partner -- Steven, who’s miffed to learn Susan merely has a wandering spleen, not cancer. He clearly doesn’t like what Gary’s doing. As Gary walks into the chapel, Steven steps in front of Susan and shoves a wedding cake into her hands.
5. The wedding’s about to begin, but Gary sends the justice of the peace off to put in the music he brought for the wedding. Steven’s glares from the audience create a problem for Gary, and after Gary and Steven argue, Steven walks away. Gary apologizes to Susan but calls off the wedding and walks away. The justice of the peace returns, as the music is playing, but it’s too late -- Susan’s been stood up at the altar by a gay guy!

ACT FIVE

1. Karl finds Susan outside, and learns she didn’t get married after all. What will she do? Karl proposes that they get married. He’d be saving her life, and hopefully that would make up for how he treated her before. She agrees after a moment, but after a moment of silence they both agree that Edie must never find out.
2. Carlos and Gabrielle are preparing to send Xiao-Mei off with the priest. After Xiao-Mei exits, Gabrielle’s frustrated over losing what could have been the best maid ever. Then, they hear arguing noises coming from outside…
3. Outside, Carlos and Gabrielle learns Xiao-Mei doesn’t want to return to China. She wants to stay with Carlos and Gabrielle, as she thinks of them as family! Gabrielle’s pleased and takes Xiao-Mei back with her.
4. Lynette and Tom argue about his bets with Ed, but he can’t back down now.
5. Lynette tells Ed she wants a more professional tone in the office, but he thinks Tom sent her in to fight his battle for her. When Ed gets snippy, Lynette fights back, challenging her boss. She’ll do whatever she wants in order to get Ed to stop pushing Tom.
6. The employees have gathered around to watch Lynette fulfill Ed’s bet. He’ll stop the shenanigans . . . if she eats a pound of bacon. She starts slowly, then eats more, and more, and finishes it off, bringing the office over to her side as Ed’s bet makes him looks bad. She completes the challenge and Ed agrees to Lynette’s terms. Tom’s proud of his wife but she’s more concerned about finding a bucket . . .
ACT SIX

1. There’s a knock at Bree’s door. It’s Betty, who’s learned Caleb was visited by a nice red-headed woman. She enters, mad at Bree for visiting her son. But Bree gives Betty a glass of wine, as they’re about to have a lovely talk . . . and Betty may need the alcohol.
2. Mike’s at Noah’s place, where he tells him about Zach. Noah wants to meet Zach, but Mike doesn’t want to drag him in. Noah gives Mike 2 days to bring Zach in. Felicia’s listening from the next room…
3. Back with Betty and Bree, Betty explains that she didn’t cry when she learned Caleb was disabled. She knew it was her job to take care of him. And whatever the problems, Caleb has a very sweet nature. Why did she have him chained in the basement?, Bree questions.
Betty says that Matthew was in an on-again-off-again relationship with Melanie Foster when Caleb asked her to meet him at the lumberyard. There, he admitted to Melanie he loved her, and tried to kiss her; when she rebuffed him, she apparently hit Caleb. Caleb doesn’t remember much, but he apparently killed Melanie with an axe. And now Betty gets emotional as she blames herself for what happened, as it was her job to protect Caleb. Bree reaches out to take Betty’s hand . . .
Mary Alice begins to talk about unlikely friendships . . .

TEASER

1. As Edie’s watching a movie and eating on her couch with Karl, Mary Alice begins to talk about Edie understanding the nature of war.
2. FLASHBACK -- Edie wants a vacation to Rome, but Karl suggests Vegas, as it’s cheaper.
3. FLASHBACK -- Edie’s frustrated by Karl’s inability to put his dirty clothes in a hamper.
4. FLASHBACK -- Edie wants Chinese food, Karl wants pizza.
5. Back in the present, Karl switches the TV to his football game, to Edie’s frustration.
6. Edie goes and gets some rope--
7. Edie wants to steal Karl away for sex.
8. In her bedroom, Edie’s tied up Karl. She goes to get some whipped cream…
9. But the whipped cream is for Edie’s dessert, which she eats as she watches her movie. Karl realizes he’s been had.

ACT ONE

1. Mary Alice talks about the great view of the neighborhood from the second story bedroom of the Applewhite home -- but the view’s about to change, as newspapers are being placed over it.
2. Betty comes home to find Caleb in the upstairs of her home. She’s mad at Matthew and sends Caleb away. Matthew thinks it’ll be safe for Caleb to stay there, while Betty disagrees. But Matthew notes that they both share a risk.
3. At church, the priest is talking as Gabrielle watches a baby coo in front of her. Carlos and Gabrielle argue about the possibility of having a child, and Gabrielle reminds her hubby she’s miscarried recently. When the priest announces Sister Mary’s returned, Gabrielle calls out, “Son of a bitch!” then tries to pretend she wasn’t responsible.
4. At home, Bree picks up Danielle’s backpack and carries it upstairs…
5. Bree’s at the door to Danielle’s room and calls in, not realizing Danielle’s there with Matthew. She comes inside a moment later, to give Danielle the backpack and get Danielle’s laundry. All’s well until Bree sees Matthew’s hand beneath the bed. Bree asks her daughter if a black man is hiding beneath the bed.
6. Betty answers her door to find Bree with Matthew and Danielle. Before the events can be explained, Betty slaps her son and orders him inside. She apologizes for what happened and tells the Van De Kamps she’s moving.
7. At the Scavo home, Lynette’s working on an important pitch, and Tom offers his assistance, as she’s got nothing. He throws out some ideas and she runs with one of the concepts.
8. Dr. Ron’s brought Susan home from their third date. She tries to get him to come inside -- Julie’s gone. She also has wine. But he passes and gives Susan a quick kiss. Before he leaves, though, Susan wants to know if she repulses him, as she’s tired of him being a perfect gentleman. He quickly insists he likes her a lot, but doesn’t know how ethical it is to move quickly with her while she’s still his patient. But he can’t help himself and gives her a passionate kiss, which Susan gleefully admits felt a bit unethical.
9. Carlos and Sister Mary are meeting in her car, and she quickly notes it’s because Gabrielle despises her. She can tell he’s unhappy, and he brings up the argument about having a child. What can he do? She pulls a pamphlet about annullments from the glove box and tells Carlos that God helps those who help themselves.

ACT TWO

1. Lynette’s walking through her workplace as she’s on the phone with Tom. The pitch worked and now they can afford another executive. He wants to know about certain parts of the pitch that he contributed to, but apparently nothing he said made its way into the pitch, though she tries to avoid saying as much.
2. Dr. Ron informs Susan that her spleen must be removed because of its proximity to her liver. That won’t require surgery, will it?, Susan wants to know. It will, and he can do it. Susan’s unsure about him seeing her naked for the first time in this context, but they decide to arrange it anyway. After Dr. Ron leaves, the nurse is pleased for him, and Susan learns he’s never done this surgery before.
3. Carlos tells Gabrielle he can wait on having a child til she’s ready, but needs a promise that they’ll have kids eventually. She can’t do that for him. When he brings up Sister Mary and the annullment, Gabrielle’s angry.
4. At the Scavo home, Lynette admits to Tom that the search for a new executive isn’t going well. Does he have any suggestions? Tom suggests himself -- with 2 incomes, they can afford a nanny, and her work now has daycare too. And the last time they worked together, they fell in love. But Lynette shoots down the idea . . . and Tom’s pulled away by Parker to find a toothbrush.

ACT THREE

1. Lynette and her boss Ed have finished an interview, but she wasn’t bowled over by the interviewee. The next person to be interviewed is Tom Cavos, and Lynette realizes it’s Tom! She goes over to Tom and the two argue. She thinks he’s good in advertising, but sometimes he coasts. He can’t let go of the fact that she screwed him over when it came to his promotion last year. They agree to let Tom’s resume speak for itself in the interview…
2. And Ed loves his resume. He brings up his work at a company, and Lynette teases out of Tom the fact that he was fired from that job after 5 months. Ed likes he won a Cleo award, and Lynette gets Tom to admit he worked on the project with his wife. Ed’s ready to hire Tom now but Lynette wants to first check with his references…
3. At church, Gabrielle’s looking for Father Crowley, and learns he’s in the confessional.
4. Gabrielle goes to give her confession, but instead of confessing her sins, she only makes things worse for herself by claiming Sister Mary is trying to break up her marriage. Is she sleeping with Carlos?, the priest wants to know. Gabrielle lies and says Carlos admitted as much. The priest heads out, and Gabrielle then talks with another priest. She admits she’s fibbed recently and wonders how many Hail Marys that’ll set her back.
5. Bree finds Danielle crying on her bed. Danielle turns from grief to anger as she accuses her mother of trying to destroy her just as she’s coming into her own, while Bree’s becoming an old fossil! Bree wants to help, and Danielle insists Bree do something. As Danielle begins to cry again, Bree tells her daughter she’s going to order pizza, and Danielle wants Canadian bacon.ACT FOUR

1. Matthew comes home but he quickly moves past his mother. As Caleb and Betty chat, Caleb mentions Danielle is very pretty, leading Betty to insist Caleb not think about girls, and tell her son she’ll slap him twice as hard as she did Matthew if he looks at her again.
2. Susan and Ron are eating dinner at her place, and he’s having trouble cutting the meat. She attempts to coax him into admitting he shouldn’t do the surgery on her, and finally admits she’s worried he can’t handle it, since he can’t even cut the meat. He lays into her, pointing out that the meat is too tough. He claims it’s okay she doesn’t want him to do the surgery, but then makes a quick exit.
3. Susan’s followed him outside, where their argument continues, and he drives away.
4. Lynette’s come home, where she tells Tom she told Ed the truth and he wants to hire Tom. She’s okay with that, on one condition: he can never bring up her ruining his promotion again. He agrees to this. And she also needs to be forgiven. Tom tells her he’s already forgiven her. She softens, telling Tom his dinner was really good and he thanks her.

ACT FIVE

1. The newspapers covering Caleb’s bedroom window are torn away…
2. Outside, Bree and Betty talk. Bree favors allowing Matthew and Danielle to have chaperoned dates, as she suspects the kids will meet secretly otherwise. But Betty has no problem being the villain in this situation. Bree’s caught off guard as she sees Caleb in the Applewhite’s window! She excuses herself…
2. Bree goes through her stack of newspapers and sees Caleb’s picture.
3. Bree tells Danielle she’s not to go near Matthew again, as their family is hiding the man who broke into Gabrielle’s home.
4. Carlos tells Gabrielle that Sister Mary is being transferred to Alaska.
5. Susan’s in Dr. Ron’s waiting room, and when he sees her, she says she’s been there for 3 hours. She gives a speech about how she’s not going to ignore her instincts anymore, and she’ll no longer jump through hoops for men. Dr. Ron tells Susan he sent an apology and flowers to her house 2 hours ago. He understands that he can’t be her doctor, as he likes her and doesn’t want to lose her.
6. Matthew and Danielle meet in secret. She presses him about his secret, but Matthew freaks. Danielle wants to be there for him, and notes her family also has a secret . . . Andrew did something bad and Bree covered it up. Matthew will tell Danielle his secret -- but first she has to tell her family’s secret.
7. Gabrielle walks into the church where Sister Mary is scrubbing the floor. The nun quickly realizes Gabrielle’s responsible for her dismissal to Alaska, and Gabrielle rubs it in. As Gabrielle goes to leave, the nun lobs her sponge at her. Gabrielle retaliates by slapping Sister Mary! This leads to a full-on catfight, even involving Sister Mary being set on fire! Gabrielle pulls down a “Jesus Saves” banner and uses it to put out the fire, but Sister Mary then bites Gabrielle. As the fight continues, they have to be broken up by a priest.

ACT SIX

1. As Gabrielle returns home, Carlos is mad, since he’s learned what happened with Sister Mary. Her only regret is that she didn’t kick Carlos’ ass instead! He apologizes for the annulment fiasco but still wants a kid. She has her own ultimatum: he has to choose between her or having a child. When he chooses her, she informs her husband she’s also made a decision, and she wants a child too, with him.
2. Bree answers her door to find Betty there. Betty lets herself in as she wants to chat. She confesses that she is hiding Caleb, her other son, but that he’s not responsible for hurting Gabrielle or the man who was killed. Betty tells Bree that they have a lot in common, as both are capable of going to extraordinary lengths to cover for those they love. And then she tells Bree she’ll tell the Solises and the police the truth about what happened to Juanita should Bree ever turn her in.
3. The other women of Wisteria Lane are at the Van De Kamp’s front door, curious about what info Bree might have on the Applewhites.
4. But when Bree lets the women in, she folds, revealing she’s brought Betty there -- to join their poker game.
5. As Mary Alice gives her speech about war, we see the women playing poker, and everyone folds against Betty -- everyone, that is, except for Bree, who raises. And Mary Alice suggests this is going to be a fight to the death . .

TEASER

1. Mary Alice talks about kisses being very different as we see a dinner party where all sorts of kissing is going on…

Bree kisses a guest on the cheek.

A wife kisses her husband to tell him he’s had enough to drink.

2. And in the kitchen, Gabrielle, Tom, Lynette, Edie, Karl, and Bree are laughing and talking. Gabrielle talks of being a cheerleader while Tom reveals he was a band geek who didn’t get kissed until he was 18. Gabrielle insists she secretly crushed on the band geeks; when Tom insists this couldn’t be so, Gabrielle gives Tom a kiss. Everyone thinks this is funny . . . everyone, except for Lynette.

ACT ONE

1. Mary Alice talks of cleaning up after a party as we see that happening --

2. And now as Lynette brings the left over food to the kitchen, she tries to casually bring up the kiss with Gabrielle, who’s surprised when Lynette says the kiss bugged her. They’re interrupted by the other women who enter talking about the Applewhites. Edie says the Applewhites are weird and the others appear to agree. Gabrielle and Lynette try to avoid the tension while others are in the room but Edie senses a problem. When the problem’s aired, Bree sticks up for Lynette. And then Edie’s on to talking about someone else’s problem.

3. As Bree kisses Susan goodbye, Susan exits and sees Zach taking out the garbage. Susan runs to Mike’s house and informs him Zach’s back! He knows all about this but is trying to take things slowly, particularly since Paul threatened him. Susan wants to help Mike and Zach connect.

4. At home, Paul tries to help Zach choose a book to read, but Zach doesn’t care. Paul’s going to be homeschooling Zach. Zach questions his father about Felicia’s claims that Paul killed Mrs. Huber. Paul gets Zach to admit he doesn’t think his father’s capable of murder, but Zach adds he didn’t think his mother was capable of suicide.

5. Outside the Van De Kamp home, Andrew and Justin talk, and kiss. At the window, Bree sees this, and breaks the champagne glass in her hand.

6. When Andrew comes in to the house, Bree confronts her son and tells him he’s not to mock her values while he’s living under her roof. Andrew wants nothing to do with this and suggests Bree take her alcohol with her when she goes to bed.

ACT TWO

1. Matthew is leaving Caleb in the basement, and is sorry to leave Caleb there. Matthew’s joined by his mother who’s concerned termites are eating away at the basement stairs. Betty’s mad at Matthew when he wants to bring Caleb up, as Caleb can’t be brought out until she’s sure he’s safe.

2. Outside the Applewhite home, Monroe’s in his car. Edie jogs up and wants to know he’s been parked there for two hours. He lies, claiming he’s there on behalf of a realty, and Edie’s incensed, as she’s the local real estate agent. She leaves, but not before telling him she’s a dangerous woman. But he’s the dangerous one -- as he’s got a gun.

3. As Susan and Julie have come into their driveway, Zach approaches and apologizes to them for everything he did before. He’s not going to be bothering them anymore. After he leaves, Susan and Julie decide they believe him - and even feel sorry for Zach. Susan’s got an idea about how to bring Mike and Zach together.

4. Bree and Lynette have driven up next to each other in the street, and they begin to talk from their cars. Lynette’s happy Bree backed her side at the party. Bree brings up Gabrielle’s history, and Lynette’s surprised to learn about Gabrielle’s affair with her gardener -- not her current one, but John. Meanwhile, Ida Greenberg’s in the car behind Lynette and wants to get around, but can’t -- until she drives on the sidewalk and past Lynette.

5. Susan and Julie approach Mike, who’s working beneath his car. Susan’s come up with an idea: bowling for Mike and Zach. Paul doesn’t need to know. Mike’s skeptical but Susan tells him she wants to make things right between Mike and Zach.

6. Bree’s going to Andrew’s room to wake him for breakfast, and she’s horrified to find Andrew asleep in bed with Justin. Justin’s also flustered while Andrew seems amused by Bree’s horror. She tells her son to get downstairs now.

7. Downstairs, Bree tells Andrew Justin isn’t welcome there, but Andrew informs his mother that he plans on telling the police what she did to George. Would he really blackmail his mother and throw her in jail?, Bree wonders. Andrew says he would -- the apron strings have to be cut at some point anyway!

ACT THREE

1. Tom has Penny in his arms as hes’ outside trying to bring the groceries inside. Gabrielle sees Tom drop the groceries as she’s passing by and goes to hold Penny so Tom can handle the groceries.

2. Gabrielle’s brought in Penny and notes Penny threw up on her. Tom gets a call from Lynette, who’s coming home early and will stop at the store to pick up the bread that Tom forgot. But then Lynette hears Gabrielle in the background.

3. Lynette’s hurried home, where she finds Gabrielle and Tom. She didn’t get the bread, claiming the store was all out. She tries to lie about her happiness (or lack thereof) about Gabrielle being there, but finally admits she’s not comfortable with Gabrielle, particularly given Gabrielle’s history. Confused, Tom inquires about this and Gabrielle reveals she slept with John.

4. At home, Gabrielle’s told Carlos what’s happening, but he’s wrapped up in his putting. Carlos pushes Gabrielle’s buttons, saying that the gossip about her affair with John makes Gabrielle appear to be a sexual predator. Gabrielle tells Carlos to go have an affair with some woman -- an ex, a callgirl, maybe even the nun -- so he can get it out of his system. But he’s not to bring home any diseases! Carlos seems to be considering this option.

5. Tom gets into bed with Lynette as they discuss her reaction to the kiss. Lynette admits to overreacting, but also can’t get past what happened. Tom teases his wife by suggesting that he’s become even more attractive with age and he can’t help that all the women want him. This amuses Lynette who decides to apologize to Gabrielle about what happened. Lynette and Tom end up kissing themselves.

6. Betty and Matthew drive away; once they’re gone, Monroe gets out of his car and breaks into the Applewhite home.

7. Inside, Monroe’s searched all over but has found nothing. Where now?

8. Monroe’s gone into the basement. He sees the door leading to Caleb, and goes to break it open.

9. Monroe, with Caleb. Monroe unlocks Caleb but when Caleb refuses to leave, Monroe knocks him to the floor.

10. With his gun in hand, Monroe looks out the window.

11. Monroe points his gun down the stairs at Caleb, but Caleb refuses to leave. He goes downstairs to get Caleb. And that’s when he crashes through the stairs. He’s halfway sticking out -- and he drops over, dead.

12. Betty and Matthew come home to find Caleb upstairs eating ice cream. All Caleb says is that he didn’t do it.

13. Betty and Matthew find Monroe’s body in the stairs.

ACT FOUR

1. Bree’s brought muffins to Karl and she also has a question about when lawyer/client confidentiality begins. When Karl tells her it begins with money, Bree hands him over $100 as a retainer and wants to hire Karl’s services as she wants to stop her S.O.B. of a son from blackmailing her.

2. Betty and Matthew have learned that Monroe’s from Illinois. Betty hopes he didn’t suffer but Matthew only laughs. When Monroe’s cell rings, they learn the call was from someone named Foster. This news causes Betty to tell Matthew they’ll need to get rid of the body tonight.

3. Lynette joins Gabrielle in the kitchen as Gabrielle’s blending something. Lynette’s sorry about what happened…

4. And minutes later, Lynette and Gabrielle are laughing and talking, Carlos joins the women, happy they’ve made up. But things fall apart for Lynette when she realizes Gabrielle still doesn’t think she did anything wrong. Lynette pulls Carlos into a long kiss that seems to go on forever. Gabrielle pulls Carlos away from Lynette, having seen her friend’s point.

5. Susan, Mike, and Julie are bowling as Zach arrives, surprised to learn Mike’s also there. Zach’s not very good at bowling, but when Julie goes to get a hot dog, Zach wonders why Mike and Susan are being so nice to him. They claim they just want to help him. Susan leaves the two to talk and Mike gives Zach some bowling advice, which leads to Zach bowling much better.

6. Betty and Matthew have placed Monroe in the trunk of his own car but when the trunk’s closed, they realize they’ve locked the keys away too. This makes Betty laugh, in spite of the situation.

ACT FIVE

1. Andrew’s playing a video game as Bree approaches and tells him to stop as her lawyer’s there to talk to him.

2. Later, Karl’s told Andrew that Bree wasn’t legally required to help George. But Andrew’s not fazed, as he considers lying to the police and telling them that Bree helped George kill himself. Bree informs her son that if he does so, she will sue him and garnish his wages when he turns 18. Karl sends Bree away for a moment and then he throws Andrew against the wall and snaps at Andrew about his lack of respect for Bree and his willingness to take care of Andrew if necessary. Bree’s heard all of this from the next room.

3. Outside Lynette’s home, Carlos thanks Lynette for patching things up with Gabrielle, and then brings up Gabrielle’s suggestion that he have an affair with someone. Does Lynette have any input on that? Lynette says she doesn’t. It’s clear that Carlos is hinting that he and Lynette should have an affair but Lynette avoids this. Carlos says that their kiss was great and you can’t fake chemistry like that!

4. Zach’s asleep in bed when Paul enters. He sees the bowling score sheet in the trash and realizes Zach was out with Mike. He asks a now awake Zach about this.

5. Paul storms over to Mike’s place and punches him. Susan’s pulled out of her driveway in her car and sees this, and as Mike and Paul fight on the ground, Susan ends up crashing her car, and Monroe’s trunk comes open. The Applewhites have come out to see the commotion as well, and they watch as Monroe’s body is discovered.All eyes turn to Paul, who's just as surprised by the body as the others are.

ACT SIX

1. Bree, Edie, Lynette, and Gabrielle are talking to each other outside as Susan’s talking to a police officer about what happened. Meanwhile, Matthew and Betty are watching this, and while Matthew’s worried, Betty’s not. Susan joins her friends and as they wonder if Paul’s responsible, Susan admits that Paul looked just as surprised as anyone else. Edie thinks the Applewhites are responsible somehow and the women bring up all the evidence against them, including Betty lying to Susan about the noises from the basement. They then wave to Betty, who admits to Matthew that now she’s worried. Monroe’s car is towed away…

2. Zach’s playing his guitar outside when he sees Julie’s arrived home. He goes to her and reveals Paul learned about the bowling and that won’t be happening again anytime soon. But he had fun. Julie ends up kissing him on the cheek.

3. Mary Alice starts to talk about the different types of kisses. First, we see Lynette and Tom kissing in bed…

4. Gabrielle kissing Carlos, who doesn’t return the favor…

5. Betty kisses her son…

6. Justin and Andrew are kissing…

7. Edie and Karl kiss…

8. Mrs. Frome kisses her cat…

Suburban housewife Mary Alice has a typical day of chores--and then shoots herself. Her neighbor, Mrs. Huber, uses a borrowed blender as a pretense to and check out what had happened, but after finding Mary Alice's dead body, Mrs. Huber decides to keep the blender for herself.

Soon we meet Mary Alice's four friends:

Gabrielle is married to the rich Carlos. She's sleeping with 17 year old gardener, John, on the side. The gardening isn't getting done, so Gabrielle covers for John by leaving a party to go mow the lawn herself.

Lynette a former career woman, left the boardroom to raise her four kids: three bratty boys and a baby girl. After meeting an old friend at the supermarket, Lynette lies about how much she loves staying at home. At Mary Alice's wake, Lynette wades into the pool to pull her boys out. And when her husband Tom wants to have sex despite not having a condom, Lynette punches him.

Bree's Martha Stewart on steroids. She can cook, she can clean, she can do her own upholstery. But her husband Rex isn't happy with this, and tells Bree he wants a divorce. She's so distraught she adds onions to his dinner, momentarily forgetting Rex is deeply allergic to them. Rex is taken to the hospital, but even then Bree can't let her Stepford exterior go, and she cries in the bathroom.

Susan's a divorcee looking for love in all the wrong places. She may have found a new love interest in Mike, her hunky new neighbor. He doesn't seem to mind that she can't cook at all. But she has some competition from Edie, who's known for always getting her man. Incorrectly fearing that Edie's sleeping with Mike, Susan goes over to Edie's home, and manages to accidentally burn Edie's house down.

Of course, perhaps it would be best for Susan to avoid Mike. After all, he has a gun, and he makes a mysterious call to someone about his real reasons for being there. And he's not the only man with a secret here: Mary Alice's widower Paul is caught by Paul's son, Zach, as Paul digs something up from the pool.

As the episode comes to an end, the four leads gather together to deal with Mary Alice's things, but find a note addressed to Mary Alice. Someone knew a secret about Mary Alice, and the letter came on the day she died. What was Mary Alice's secret, and who's responsible for Mary Alice killing herself?

AH, BUT UNDERNEATH (Episode 2)

Bree, Lynette, Susan, and Gabrielle decide to not tell Mary Alice's husband Paul about the letter. Paul has a secret of his own, though: he takes a toy box filled with something and dumps it into the water, but the toybox floats back up.

Gabrielle's torn between her two men: her husband Carlos expects sex from her because of the gifts he brings, while fling John presents her with a perfect rose. Gabrielle finds she prefers the rose even after Carlos brings her home a new car--although Gabrielle's not about to dump Carlos.

Mrs. Huber discovers the measuring cup Susan left behind at Edie's home, and also learns Susan's missing her cup. But Susan has other problems this week when Mike's dog prefers Edie over her. At dinner with Mike and Edie, Susan dabs gravy on herself in hopes of getting Mike's dog to like her, but this backfires when the dog chokes on her earring. The dog's going to be fine, but Susan realizes Mike's not ready to move on because he's still in love with his wife.

Lynette's bratty kids get her pulled over by a cop. Mrs. Huber has some advice for Lynette: she should leave her kids on the side of the road, and not come back for a few moments, as this will calm the kids down. When she tries this, though, her kids disappear. She finds a mean woman has them, and isn't pleased with her mothering tactics. In the end, her bratty kids come to her rescue.

Bree's displeased when Rex insists they attend a marriage counselor. At Dr. Goldfine's, Bree avoids discussing her feelings until she opens up in a private session. Rex is stunned when their shrink suggests he's the one with a problem, not Bree.

PRETTY LITTLE PICTURE (Episode 3)

Paul and his son Zach compete for who can be the creepiest: Zach confronts his father after finding the gun Mary Alice used to kill herself, but he falls apart when Bree visits. We learn that human remains were found in the water where Paul dumped the box. But it's Bree who may be coming closest to the truth, as she steals Mary Alice's tape from her shrink's when she's looking for her husband's tape. But Paul's secrets may never be exposed, as he takes steps to sell his house and leave Wisteria Lane behind.

Gabrielle's caught in a liplock with John by a little girl, Ashley, who turns out to be her new next door neighbor. Ashley demands a bike in exchange for her secrecy, and then insists that Gabrielle teach her to ride it. This isn't easy for Gabrielle to do in high heels, but she's desperate to keep her husband from learning about the affair.

Susan's still bitter about the end of her marriage to Karl, who doesn't see why she wants him to apologize to her about their divorce. After an argument with Karl, Susan ends up naked outside, but this turns out to be okay as it leads to Mike agreeing to dinner with Susan. Susan gets an apology from Brandy, Karl's girlfriend, and this satisfies Susan for now.

When Tom doesn't want to go to the party Bree's throwing, Lynette decides to go alone--and she gives her kids cookies to keep them busy. After the party, Lynette wants to know if she and Tom are happy, and they answer that question by sharing a dance as her kids look on at their parents.

Bree decides to host a party Mary Alice had planned before her suicide, but insists to Rex that no one should know they're in counseling. At the party, Rex spills the secret anyway, causing Bree to spill a secret of her own: Rex cries when he ejaculates. Afterwards, Rex moves out of the house and into a hotel.

WHO'S THAT WOMAN? (Episode Four)

The women listen to the tape of Mary Alice's session with Dr. Goldfine, but learn little other than that her real name was Angela. They finally decide to tell Paul about the letter, but he claims that Mary Alice was troubled and wrote the letter to herself. None of them believe Paul's telling the truth. Paul hires someone to find out who wrote the letter to Mary Alice.

Gabrielle's affair with John is almost discovered by the cable guy, but soon Carlos believes his wife is sleeping with the cable guy. He even questions John about whether Gabrielle's sleeping with someone else. Carlos attacks the cable guy at his home, only to find Gabrielle's supposed love interest is gay.

Susan and Edie are both frustrated that the other is pursuing Mike. Mrs. Huber learns of Susan's interest in Mike and uses the measuring cup she found to blackmail Susan into doing things for her. Susan and her daughter Julie take control of the situation by having Julie steal the cup from Mrs. Huber's home, but to keep Edie from going into the house, Susan's forced to arrange a date between Edie and Mike. Susan tells Mrs. Huber exactly what she thinks of her.

Lynette's told that her twin boys must be separated if they're to remain in public school--either that, or she should treat them for ADD. She gets the pills, but can't bring herself to give them to her kids--so she finds solace in alcohol instead.

Bree's kids, Danielle and Andrew, realize their father's moved out when Bree cooks a huge dinner. Andrew acts out by leaving home and going to a strip club, but Bree tracks him down and humiliates him. Bree and Andrew make up for now, but there's a price for Andrew: he's lost the door to his bedroom.

COME IN, STRANGER (Episode Five)

Gabrielle's mother-in-law Juanita comes to Wisteria Lane at Carlos' behest, in the hopes of learning who Gabrielle's sleeping with. Gabrielle avoids being caught with John by framing Juanita for shoplifting. Juanita not-so-subtly threatens Gabrielle by suggesting she killed Carlos's father and is willing to do away with Gabrielle too.

There's a break-in on Wisteria Lane, and while nothing's taken, everyone's on edge. Susan finds the screwdriver left behind, and after giving it to the police officer, Rick, she then makes a date with him. Rick claims to have taken the screwdriver to be checked for fingerprints but when Susan learns he lied about this, she breaks things off with him. Mike's happy about this development, as the screwdriver's his! Mike and Susan share their first kiss after he saves her from the bad neighborhood where Rick left her after their date.

Lynette needs to get her kids into private school, and she convinces Bree to lie for her to a prestigious school concerning her twin boys. But at the interview concerning the school, Lynette and Tom learn their twins need to be observed first. Lynette makes her kids do a lot of exercise before the session so that they're practically asleep when they're observed. When they need $15,000 as payment for the school, Lynette gets Tom to sell his boat.

Bree finds Zach trying to clean up where his mother shot herself. She invites him to dinner and after telling Zach a Christmas story Zach suggests he knows more about his mother's death than others realize. Later, she invites him to dinner again, but then chooses to go to her husband Rex when he wants to talk. When she returns home, she learns Zach's broken in and decorated for Christmas. Zach refuses to explain himself, but in the comfort of his own home, he apparently hits his father. Paul takes Zach away to an undisclosed location.

RUNNING TO STAND STILL (Episode Six)

Gabrielle's still being investigated by Juanita. Gabrielle gets away from Juanita after learning of Juanita's gambling addiction and using this to her advantage. She even briefly gets Juanita on her side by telling her she'll cover for the money she owes. But Juanita realizes the truth: Carlos tells her he told Gabrielle about her gambling problem, and Juanita suspects Gabrielle is sleeping with John because she avoids him in public.

Rex and Dr. Goldfine want Bree to discuss sex in their sessions, but Bree leaves at the suggestion that she's done something wrong sexually. In a private session at a restaurant, Bree makes it clear to Dr. Goldfine that she's no prude: she loves everything about sex except for the scrotum. But her attempt to seduce her husband in his hotel room falls to pieces when she tries to clean up before they can have sex. Afterwards, Bree suggests that Rex is the one who's hiding something about his sexual urges, but Rex refuses to tell her anything about his desires.

Lynette faces off with fellow mom Maisy at a meeting about a play that Lynette's twins are in. Maisy wants to make the wolf in Little Red Riding Hood into less of a villain, and while everyone thinks this is ridiculous, only Lynette brings the problem up--until she convinces everyone else to take her side. Maisy tries some passive-aggressive moves against Lynette: she threatens to drop Lynette's boys from the play, then not-so-accidentally leaves Lynette off of the play programs. Lynette confronts Maisy in public, causing Maisy to leave the play, to everyone else's delight. Tired from making the costumes for the play, Lynette pops some of her sons' ADD medication and finds it gives her the buzz she needs to keep going.

Susan correctly believes that Paul's lying about Zach's whereabouts. Zach's actually in an institution for troubled kids, and there Paul encourages Zach's doctor to keep him drugged. Susan learns of Zach's whereabouts after following Paul in a neighbor's car, but what can she do now? She goes to the institution under guise of working on a children's book, then has daughter Julie sneak into Zach's room to question him about his mother's suicide. Zach only tells her something about someone named Dana before Julie's caught and must flee. Neither Susan or Julie knows of any Dana connected to Zach or Mary Alice, but the answer's closer than they suspect, as Susan bought a baby blanket from Paul's yard sale that has the name "Dana" on it.

ANYTHING YOU CAN DO (Episode Seven)

When a man collapses on her lawn, Mrs. Huber--jealous over Bree's perfect lawn--moves the body over to Bree's lawn so as to ruin Bree's flowers.

At a book club where almost no one has read the book, Bree disposes of the other women so she can talk with Susan, Gabrielle, and Lynette about Zach. Susan tells them what happened in the previous episode.3 Susan finds the embroidery with Dana's name on it and she and Lynette conclude Dana was a baby. Later, Paul meets with his real estate agent, Edie; after she leaves, Paul finds something Edie left behind, compares it to the letter, and concludes Edie wrote the letter to his wife. Paul hires Mr. Shaw to do away with Edie, and later an unsuspecting Edie meets Mr. Shaw at a bar.

Susan goes to meet Mike for his date--only to find him cancelling the date because of his sexy houseguest, Kendra, who he insists is only a friend. Kendra's father is bankrolling Mike for the investigation, and Kendra's apparently someone's sister: Mary Alice? Dana? When Edie learns Mike is taking Kendra to a cowboy bar, Edie convinces Susan to follow them to the bar. When Mike catches Susan, Susan humiliates herself while trying to show she was there for a bullride. Afterwards, Kendra makes it clear she and Mike are only friends, but she suggests to Susan that Susan ask Mike why he moved to Wisteria Lane.

Tom convinces Lynette to throw together a dinner for his partners the day after tomorrow. When Lynette finds she's out of ADD medication, she tries in vain to get one from the woman who gave her the idea; then she steals pills from the bathroom of her kids' playmate Timmy. At the dinner party, Lynette comes up with an idea for Tom's job that is better than his. Afterwards, Tom and Lynette argue, but Tom softens and tells his wife she's a great wife and mother.

Gabrielle's mad when she learns John has a date with Danielle. Gabrielle tries to get rid of Danielle by sponsoring Danielle for modeling academy, but John dumps her when he learns Gabrielle's plot. Gabrielle convinces John to meet her for sex one last time, but Juanita, on to the plan, follows John and Gabrielle to a motel where she proceeds to take pictures of them together. When John can't get the camera back, they fear all is lost--but Gabrielle's saved when Juanita's run down by a car.

Bree and Rex squabble at the principal's office after learning Andrew broke a boy's nose. She blames Andrew, he blames their marriage--which is ending, as she learns her hubby's serving her with divorce papers soon. Bree becomes hurt when Andrew wants to live with his father now that his parents' marriage is ending.Rex attempts to buy his kids' love by giving Andrew a new car and Danielle an opportunity to go to modeling academy. Bree retaliates by throwing her kids out of the house, and Danielle gets back into her mother's good graces by giving up modeling academy. After Andrew can't convince his dad to let him live with him, Andrew goes out of control with his car and runs down Juanita with his car. When Bree learns what has happened, she calls Rex, who returns home--so they can keep the truth from coming out.

GUILTY (Episode Eight)

Bree's family argues about the accident but Bree ends the discussion by telling them they'll get rid of the car--and then have pancakes for breakfast. When Lynette, Susan, and Bree clean up outside Gabrielle's home, Lynette unnerves Bree by suggesting the person responsible should be put away for life. The Van De Kamps visit Carlos and Gabrielle and afterwards Andrew seems relieved to be off the hook. Bree confronts Andrew about his feelings but he's not concerned about Juanita and is more upset he's lost his car. Bree's concerned her son's so lackadasical about putting Juanita in a coma.

At the hospital, John visits a comatose Juanita and then goes to the chapel to pray. Gabrielle doesn't want to give Juanita a sponge bath. Later, Carlos and Gabrielle squabble when he wants kids and she doesn't. Gabrielle has other problems, too, when John confesses that he confessed everything to a priest. Gabrielle gets assurance from the priest that he'll stay quiet, but when he wants her to make a confession, she tells him she can't do that as she prefers to be happy, even though she knows that's selfish. Gabrielle gives Juanita her sponge bath.

Lynette attempts acupuncture to relax but her boys won't settle down. She tells the acupuncturist about her ADD pills and she's given a strong herbal remedy for sleep. Lynette doesn't get to use the pills because her kids arrive for a Cub Scout meeting, so she ends up taking several pills at once. Everything goes so badly for Lynette that she fantasizes that Mary Alice gives her a gun to kill herself. Lynette gives her kids to Susan then leaves without explaining herself. Susan and Bree find Lynette, who admits she popped the pills, and Susan and Bree help Lynette by admitting they've had problems as a mother too. Later, while finally getting some rest, Lynette dreams of her kids being happy and of Mary Alice smiling at her.

Susan makes a date with Mike but when he's on the phone, she finds his money stash. She agrees to let Mike's tile guy in while he's away. However, everything goes awry when she ends up falling into the floor of Mike's bathroom, and Mike tosses her out when he realizes she found his stash of money. Susan tries to apologize to Mike but they argue and Mike dumps Susan. Later, Mike apologizes to Susan, and the two become passionate together.

Edie and Mrs. Huber squabble because Mrs. Huber took money from Edie. Edie moves out of Mrs. Huber's home. Paul tells Mr. Shaw to go ahead with the hit on Edie. But when Mr. Shaw goes to kill Edie, he learns from her that the stationery belonged to Mrs. Huber, not Edie. When Mr. Shaw tells Paul the truth, he calls off the hit and goes to speak with Mrs. Huber himself. Mrs. Huber admits she sent the note in hopes of getting money from Mary Alice, but she's not sorry, as Mary Alice did something to a baby. An enraged Paul hits Mrs. Huber with a blender, then strangles her to death.

SUSPICIOUS MINDS (Episode Nine)

While visiting Juanita at the hospital, Gabrielle searches for something to add meaning to her life--and decides to put on a charity fashion show for the hospital. Gabrielle and John's mother, Helen, discuss John's crumbling relationship with Danielle. Later, while John's working for the fashion show, Gabrielle puts her foot into John's crotch beneath the table--and Susan happens to see this. When Susan confronts her, Gabrielle admits her misdeeds but bristles when Susan compares the affair to Susan's cheating ex. As John and his friend discuss John's affair with a married woman, Helen overhears some of this. Susan tries to talk John out of the relationship with Gabrielle, but when she places her hand on his cheek, a spying Helen believes Susan's John's mystery mistress.

At the fashion show, Edie's wearing a skimpy dress but is overshadowed by Susan's fabulous dress. But when Helen confronts Susan about her supposed affair with John and tears her dress, Susan's forced out onto the runway looking horrible, to Edie's delight. Susan demands that Gabrielle tell Helen the truth, and Gabrielle does just that--but Helen claims it's not over. Gabrielle can't bring herself to tell Carlos the truth, but there are other problems for her, as the FBI shows up to arrest Carlos for something he claims someone else did. Susan comforts her friend Gabrielle.

Paul buries Mrs. Huber, who's assumed to be away visiting her sister. Later, after receiving a letter from Zach, Julie admits to Susan that she and Zach have been sending letters to each other. Paul's problems escalate when he learns Zach's vanished from the mental home, and he doesn't realize that Zach's in the neighborhood--specifically, he's with Julie! Zach doesn't want to tell Julie about his problems, but he reacts when Julie shows him the baby blanket with "Dana" on it. Zach tells Julie he believes he killed his baby sister Dana and his parents covered it up. Julie and Zach's hug turns into a kiss! Paul's looking for a missing Zach, but Susan insists Julie doesn't know anything.

Meanwhile, the detectives have investigated the chest Paul dumped into the water and tracked down its maker, who learns that the box contained an adult woman--a chopped up woman.

Tom plans to take the kids away for an afternoon so Lynette can relax, but Lynette insists it's not enough; she wants to hire a nanny. Lynette gets Bree's help to find a great nanny, as Lynette plans to poach someone else's nanny. At a park where nannies often come with their kids, Lynette sees many lousy nannies but also meets Claire, a great nanny. Lynette tries to "pick up" Claire, who sends Lynette away with her address as Claire's employer Alexis approaches. Lynette manages to convince Claire to take a job with her.

Bree's upset that Andrew's so cheerful, but Rex disagrees with her when she wants to remove Andrew from the swim team. Amidst their argument, Rex and Bree miss Andrew winning the swim race. Bree becomes upset when she realizes Andrew's stoned; though he denies it, she insists he urinate into a container for her. Bree brings the urine to Rex while he golfs, but when he claims the pot's no big deal and argues that she always makes the decisions in their life, an angered Bree tosses the urine at him. Bree sneaks into Andrew's gym locker, finds the pot, and then makes an anonymous call to the school. Andrew's caught with the pot, and Rex finally gets mad at Andrew for his actions, but Andrew shuts his mother out of his room.

COME BACK TO ME (Episode 10)

Lynette can't convince her boys to eat her brussel sprouts; Claire convinces Lynette to leave the kids to her. When Lynette tells Bree about her doubts about leaving the kids with Claire, Bree convinces Lynette to install a nannycam. Lynette finds that Claire's great with the kids--and starts to become jealous of Claire's relationship with her sons, especially after they make it clear they prefer Claire reading to them over Lynette reading. Lynette tells Claire to make sure her sons eat all their brussel sprouts, then later that night Lynette takes pleasure in watching the tape of her sons refusing to eat their vegetables for Claire.

Carlos is denied bail until someone can find his passport. Gabrielle searches for the passport and becomes frustrated when her car is repoed. When Gabrielle learns that she might lose all of her possessions, she moves everything to Bree's place, but finds what she really misses is her husband. Carlos tells her where she can find his passport, and also asks her to burn some papers. But when Gabrielle finds the passport and papers, she burns the passport.

Bree's husband Rex has been having sex with housewife-turned-hooker Maisy Gibbons; he's been going to her because she satisfies him sexually using handcuffs, stilettos, etc. Bree learns Rex has been with someone and becomes mad when he encourages her to have sex with someone too. While with Maisy, Rex has a heart attack, and when Bree arrives at the hospital she learns of his connection to Maisy. Bree confronts Maisy, who tells Bree she's been giving Rex something Bree didn't. Bree goes to the hospital and tells Rex she's going to divorce him and will enjoy destroying Rex. Bree goes to a lawyer's office.

Julie lies to Susan then takes food upstairs to Zach, who almost leaves when Julie suggests telling Susan the truth. Susan's frustrated that she and Mike can't find a good date for their first lovemaking; the next day, she calls Mike up, asks him over in hopes of seducing him, then prepares for their first time together. She hears a noise, not realizing it's Zach, but when she goes to attack the intruder--she hits Mike with a Thigh Master instead before Zach is discovered. Caught in her lies, Julie attempts to convince Susan to keep Zach there, but Mike takes Zach home. Julie calls out her mother on how Julie's acted like the mother for Susan for some time, and Susan can't get through to Julie.

Paul acts relieved when Mike brings Zach home, but later Paul's creepy again while eating dinner with Zach. Paul encourages Zach to repress his memories that are coming back--and then urges Zach to eat more potatoes.

Edie wants to get into Mrs. Huber's home to retrieve some things left behind. When she can't find anyone who knows where Mrs. Huber is, Edie gets the police, who break into the home--as Paul watches.

MOVE ON (Episode 11)

Andrew's mad when he learns Rex won't be coming home, and Bree ends up letting Res stay in the home after all. When Rex comes home, Bree tells her husband she has no more feelings for him. After learning that she may need to care for Rex for months, Bree asks her pharmacist George out on a date. After their successful date, George and Bree almost kiss when Andrew discovers them. Bree attempts to explain herself and ends up telling Andrew about Rex's affair. Andrew doesn't believe this and storms off. The next day, Andrew tells his mother Rex told him the truth, and he thinks she should send Rex packing. Bree defends Rex and even says he's the one love of her life. However, she still calls up George to ask him out again.

Susan's with Mike when her ex-husband Karl drops by. He tells her that his relationship with Brandy is over and Susan ends up both hugging Karl twice and inviting him to Julie's birthday party. Later, Mike tells Susan he loves her, but she can't bring herself to say that back to him, and he thinks she may still have feelings for Karl. She denies this. At Julie's birthday party, Susan's horrified to find Karl brought Edie at his date, and things become worse as Edie kisses Karl. Susan doesn't want to sing karaoke but agrees to do so, but before going on Edie lets it slip that Karl felt her up when he was married to Susan. Susan tries to sing but ends up yelling at Karl instead. The next day, Karl tries to woo Susan back, but she denies having any feelings for him, and instead goes to Mike and tells him she loves him.

Lynette's husband Tom goes downstairs one evening to find their nanny Claire in the buff--and he responds by going back upstairs and having sex with Lynette. When Lynette learns the truth behind the encounter from Claire, she's upset with Tom, who denies any feelings for Claire. But when Lynette catches Tom staring at Claire's breasts, he realizes there is a problem. Lynette ends up calling a nanny service in search of unattractive help.

Gabrielle's frustrated she's lost access to Carlos's money, and she may need to get a job. She goes to a modeling agency but finds that the jobs there are nothing like she was used to before she married Carlos. Gabrielle acts as the spokesmodel for a Buick show and when Tom and Lynette discover her there she lies about why she's dressed so nicely at the mall.
When Gabrielle loses electricity, she calls Carlos' lawyer and says she knows where his passport is located.

Edie's surprised to find Mrs. Huber's sister Felicia believes Mrs. Huber is dead--but doesn't care as she hates her. Everyone comes together to pass out fliers about Mrs. Huber. The police find Mrs. Huber's abandoned car and begin searching for her in that area. Fearing the police may be getting too close, Paul digs something up from Mrs. Huber's body and plants it in Mike's garage. A man finds his dog searching through a pile--and Mrs. Huber's body is sticking out.

EVERY DAY A LITTLE DEATH (Episode 12)

The women turn down Edie when Edie wants them to help her dispose of Mrs. Huber's ashes. But when Susan learns that Mrs. Huber kept detailed journals, Susan realizes she must suck up to Edie then tell her she burnt down Edie's home. Susan agrees to help Edie dispose of the ashes but before they can dump them into the lake, Susan admits her misdeed--and then Edie tosses the ashes on Susan. Edie agrees to keep quiet if Susan will invite her to the weekly poker party, and Susan goes along with this.

Gabrielle's pleased that Carlos is home, even if he's on house arrest. But she's less pleased with Carlos' wish to have a child. She eats their dinner outside where Carlos can't go to spite him. When Gabrielle can't commit to being with him come rain or shine, Carlos screws with her birth control pills in hopes of getting her pregnant.

Lynette can't get into yoga because she's too late to get her kids into daycare. The next time she tries to get into yoga, one of her kids is believed to be dying as his head's been shaved because of gum in his hair; this gets Lynette into the class. Lynette enjoys her lie but eventually she's caught and admits the truth--then leaves yoga behind.

Bree's enjoying her dates with George, but she's partly doing it because of Rex watching. But she's pleased when George gives her a gun. But when she goes to show him how to shoot, he tries to kiss her, and ends up shooting himself--and losing a toe. Bree breaks things off with George but he doesn't want to let go--and ends up watching a tape of her in the pharmacy.

The police finds Mrs. Huber's body, and the news quickly spreads around Wisteria Lane. Meanwhile, Mike finds his gun and money gone--and a message informing him that his backer's hiring someone else. Mike confronts this man, who says he's dying of a brain tumor and wants answers about his daughter Deirdre's disappearance before he dies. He reminds Mike that Mike left Deirdre to marry Mike's wife, but also notes that Mike once killed for her. Mike's back on the trail of the disappeared Deirdre and agrees he'll take care fo the supposed killer.

YOUR FAULT (Episode Thirteen)

Susan's upset when she finds Julie and Zach kissing--and even more upset when she learns Zach's going with Julie to a dance. But Paul isn't upset that his son's kissing Julie, for, as he tells Susan, they're moving soon. This doesn't please Zach one bit. Susan eavesdrops on a phonecall between Julie and Zach where Julie says she's keeping Zach's secret about Dana from her mom. Zach tells his dad he told Julie about his memories of killing Dana. At the dance, Susan bluffs with Paul and gets him to tell her that Zach killed Dana years before. Afterwards, however, Paul tells Zach he didn't kill Dana--because Dana's still alive. When Susan tries to get Zach to leave Julie alone, Zach becomes angry and Susan forbids Zach and Julie from ever being together. However, Julie and Zach meet secretly, neither ready to give up on each other.

Rex and Bree's meeting with their divorce lawyer takes a turn when Rex tells Bree he wants to call off the divorce. Bree, on the other hand, only wants Rex's country club membership. Later, when Bree again rebuffs Rex's wish for reconciliation, Bree suggests she may sleep with George soon. George meets up with Bree one late night at the diner, and while he acts very creepy he suggests she reconcile with Rex. But when alone with Rex at the pharmacy, George sings a different tune, and he disposes of Rex's pills so he can give Rex something else instead. Later at home with Bree, Rex takes a pill--but what has George done to it?

John's parents convince Gabrielle to talk John out of dropping his college plans. But Gabrielle fails to get through to John, who wants Gabrielle to marry him. Gabrielle tells John's parents she's giving back the wedding ring, but when Gabrielle tells John they can't be together, he gets mad. Gabrielle tells John he was just a play thing, but at the same time she appears affected by his feelings for her.

Tom's dad Rodney arrives for a visit. Things become complicated when Lynette catches Rodney with a woman other than his wife. When Rodney refuses to be ashamed for his actions, Lynette tosses him out of the house. And then, when Tom admits to Lynette that he knew about his father's affairs and isn't that bothered by it, Lynette tosses him out. Later, Lynette tries to make things up with Tom but also insists she'll leave Tom if he ever cheats on her. A worried Tom tells his dad that he's not sure how Lynette would react if he learned what Tom's kept from her.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR (Episode 14)

Bree tells Dr. Goldfine that things have returned to normal and she and Rex are planning a dinner party. But when he pressures her to stop repressing, she questions what Rex may be hiding about his sexual interests. After pushing Rex for an answer, Bree's surprised when Rex admits he wants her to dominate him sexually. She doesn't understand at first and is disgusted when he shares a video with her. But she pulls herself together and accepts Rex's offer. She agrees to the kinky sex, but she insists on washing the handcuffs in the dishwasher first.

Lynette's kids give her a nice pot as a gift, but she soon learns it was stolen from her neighbor, Mrs. McClosky. Lynette hates this neighbor but gets her kids to write a note of apology. But when the neighbor accuses the brats of stealing other things from her, Lynette becomes angry, leading to her tossing an egg in her neighbor's face. It's Lynette who has egg all over her face, though, when she learns her kids have been stealing after all. Lynette gets her boys to apologize to the neighbor, who's nice to her kids in private but is again gruff when she returns them to their mother.

Susan and Mike have planned a special dinner for Valentine's Day--but the day before, Susan's ideas about her man are challenged when she learns he wants kids. She's less sure about having kids, but Julie tells Susan she has to tell Mike the truth. Mike has other issues: he breaks into a home, rifles through the man's things--and then gets shot by the old man before he escapes. Someone connected to Noah, the old man funding Mike, sews up Mike's injury. At the dinner with Susan, Mike hides his growing injury as Susan tells him she doesn't want more kids. He tries to leave, but collapses because of the injury. At the hospital, Susan overhears a doctor and nurse who don't believe Mike shot himself accidentally. Mike tells Susan he wants her more than he wants kids. Everything becomes even worse for Susan and Mike's relationship as Lynette gives Susan something her boys took from Mike's garage: it's Mrs. Huber's, and it has blood on it.

Gabrielle fires her housekeeper Yao Lin after the two squabble again. Later, Gabrielle takes a job working at a bed store but finds she's supposed to model a bed. She doesn't like this job and even puts up a sign telling people to stop questioning her. When she admits to her boss that the job's beneath her, he fires her. Gabrielle takes a job at a cosmetics counter and even ends up making over Yao Lin, although she insists she's going to pick herself up again, just as she always does.

Mrs. Huber's sister Felicia brings Paul his present to Mary Alice he always had delivered each year. She sees a picture of Mary Alice and believes it's Angela Forrest from Utah, but Paul claims this is wrong. Later, however, Felicia finds a picture of Angela/Mary Alice in front of a rehab center. Who is Angela, and why did she change her name to Mary Alice?

IMPOSSIBLE (Episode 15)

Gabrielle's upset when John's friend Justin insinuates that he'll tell Carlos the truth about her affair with John unless Gabrielle sleeps with Justin. When Gabrielle comes close to telling John about Justin's blackmail attempt, Justin admits he only wants to sleep with Gabrielle because he thinks he might be gay. Gabrielle kisses Justin, who realizes he is gay after all. Gabrielle's also upset about her and Carlos' lack of money, but she and Carlos plan to sell their house and move into an apartment.

Bree finds a condom in a laundry basket. After first believing it's Rex's, and then suspecting it's Andrew's, she learns the condom belongs to Danielle, who plans on having sex with John. Bree goes to John, who says he's not into Danielle. Bree has John tell Danielle off so she'll stay away from him and not hope for sex.

With advice from her friends, Susan tells the police what she knows about Mike. She stands by him, even as he's arrested. Susan's pleased to find that Mike was with her when Mrs. Huber was murdered, and she acts as his alibi. But when the detectives don't believe her, Susan learns Mike was convicted for drugs and manslaughter. A furious Susan tells Mike to stay away from her. Meanwhile, Mike's told Noah about these latest complications, and after Noah agrees to take care of the problem, Noah meets with the detective and asks what he can do to make the detective happy.

Lynette's disappointed when Tom tells her he was passed over for a promotion. She encourages him to stand up for himself. When the person who was going to get the promotion collapses, Tom ends up taking the promotion. Lynette's happy for her husband until she learns it will lead to Tom being away even more than he is now. Tom doesn't care that his wife's upset about his plans. Lynette takes care of the problem, though, by suggesting to Tom's boss's wife that the promotion won't be good for Tom. Tom loses his promotion, and tries to make the best of it, though at the same time Lynette sees what she's done to her husband.

Julie wants to go to Zach's pool party, but her mother's dead-set against Julie spending time with crazy Zach. But wheen Susan's being questioned by the police, Julie sneaks away to the party. Things are going good for a few minutes until Andrew and other teens mock Zach, who then suggests to Julie he could shoot them all. Distressed, Julie leaves. Later, Susan fears Julie and Zach are at the pool party alone together, but the couple she catches together is Justin and Andrew, who insists he's not gay.

THE LADIES WHO LUNCH (Episode 16)

Maisy was arrested for prostitution, and as the news spread around Wisteria Lane, Bree realized that it would come out that Rex had hired Maisy’s services. When Bree’s bribe failed to sway Maisy to help her, Bree bristled as the truth about Rex and Maisy became known around town.

Meanwhile, Gabrielle and Carlos found their septic system collapsing, and Mike informed them it would cost big money to fix. Gabrielle came up with several short term solutions, including stealing a Port-o-potty and using other people’s bathrooms under false pretenses. But the solution to the problem came when Bree offered money for her friend.

Lynette found her kids were responsible for an outbreak of lice at the private school. She cleaned up their hair but discovered it was harder to clean up the aftermath, as others didn’t want to be around the kids who had spread the lice. But when Lynette learned that Tammy’s kid was responsible for the lice, Lynette confronted Tammy at her son’s birthday party, then was relieved when Tammy decided to tell the other mothers Lynette’s twins weren’t responsible.

After not leaving the house for several days in the aftermath of her breakup with Mike, Susan found a surprising ally in Edie, who was trying to show herself capable of being caring. Edie and Susan got drunk at a bar together, where Susan theorized that Paul had killed Mrs. Huber. The duo broke into Paul’s home, where they discovered a tape of Mary Alice and Felicia together but didn’t see the contents. Edie kept them from being discovered by kissing Paul, who surprised them by returning home early. Later, Paul found the tape in a different spot.

Mrs. Huber’s sister Felicia is still around—and she hasn’t forgotten about the connection between herself and Angela.

THERE WON'T BE TRUMPETS (Episode 17)

Juanita awakens from her coma, but she slips on the hospital stairs and dies. While this devestates Carlos, he’s happier because he’s been offered a plea bargain—though he doesn’t plan to take it. Gabrielles’ upset when Carlos wants to have a huge funeral for his mother, since Gabrielle realizes they can’t afford that. Carlos agrees to go to prison for several months so Gabrielle can have everything back. The hospital offers Gabrielle 1.6 million which she takes, but after learning that the money will be taken away if she receives it before Carlos goes to prison, Gabrielle doesn’t tell Carlos about their windfall.

When Mike slips a note beneath Susan’s door, Susan can’t bring herself to read the letter. What she can do, though, is find herself interested in Edie’s contractor, Bill, even though Edie has her eyes on him for herself. Susan decides to go out with Bill after arguing with Edie about him. Edie fires the contractor and tells Susan their friendship is over. Susan slips a letter underneath Mike’s door.

Lynette befriends Alisa, a deaf woman, and her husband Dennis. Lynette’s appalled by the horrible things Dennis says about Alisa since Alisa can’t hear them. Tom agrees with his wife but doesn’t want to tell Alisa the truth. Lynette tells Dennis what she thinks of him, and he informs Alisa he wants a divorce. Alisa denounces Lynette, blaming her for the end of their marriage, while Tom comforts her because she was trying to do the right thing.

Andrew’s behavior goes from bad to worse when he’s expelled from school for smoking pot and injuring a security guard. Bree wants Andrew taken to a youth detention center, but Rex is against this plan. But when Andrew kicks Bree, Rex confronts his son. Later, Bree and Rex say goodbye to Andrew as he’s taken away, although he doesn’t leave before spitting in Bree’s face. Bree is glad to have Rex there to help her.

CHILDREN WILL LISTEN (Episode Eighteen)

Susan’s own dramas take a backseat this week when her mother, Sophie Bremmer, shows up. Susan’s upset when Sophie reveals she’s been abused by her ex, Morty, although Susan’s distress mostly involves her wish that Sophie not live with her. When Sophie realizes this, she becomes mad at Susan. Susan convinces Morty to talk to Sophie, but then Susan learns it’s Sophie who’s been abusing Morty by hitting him.

Desperate to get out of the house for a while, Lynette convinces Bree to babysit her kids. But when Bree spanks one of Lynette’s kids, Lynette becomes angry at Bree and makes accusations about Bree’s parenting. This strikes a cord with Bree, who’s feeling guilty about sending Andrew away to a boot camp for troubled teens. Lynette also questions her own parenting style when her husband Tom points out that Bree’s spanking may have accomplished more than Lynette’s empty threats of spanking. Lynette and Bree make up, but not before Bree visits Andrew at the boot camp and learns Andrew thinks he’s gay.

Gabrielle’s caught in her own deception when Carlos learns about the check from last week’s episode. Carlos tries to convince Gabrielle to sign a post-nuptial agreement that will assure Gabrielle’s penniless if she ever tries to divorce him, but Gabrielle strikes back by threatening to tell the authorities about Carlos’ secret bank account in the Cayman Islands. When Carlos later tells Gabrielle he moved the money, he then proceeds to manhandle Gabrielle and forces her to sign the agreement. Gabrielle gets back at Carlos in her own way by sleeping with John, but Mary Alice suggests that Gabrielle’s about to become pregnant.

When the detectives investigating the toy box Paul threw into the lake question Paul, he denies knowing what happened to his toy box. Zach learns that the box contained a woman; he questions his father, who admits the woman was a P.I. who was going to take Zach away from the only family he’d ever known. But it’s Felicia who provides the true shock for Zach, as she reveals to him that she knew his mother—and she knows his first name was Dana.

LIVE ALONE AND LIKE IT (Episode Nineteen)

Bree brings Andrew home but can’t bring herself to accept he’s gay. When Andrew reacts badly to Bree bringing in a minister to help him, Bree reveals Rex’s S&M fetish. After Bree tells Andrew that she doesn’t think he’s going to heaven, Andrew cleans up his act—not out of the goodness of his heart, but, as he tells the minister, because he plans on doing something awful in the future that will destroy his mother.

Lynette is reluctantly there for mean neighbor Mrs. McCloskey when she has to be taken to the hospital. Afterwards, Mrs. M. is nice to Lynette—sort of—but Lynette doesn’t want to help her neighbor with her errands. When Lynette fears her neighbor’s dead, she checks in on the old woman, who’s alive—and Lynette agrees to help the old woman with her errands.

Gabrielle’s continuing her affair with John but makes it clear she doesn’t want him as anything more than a boytoy. She refuses to allow Carlos back into her bed until he destroys the post-nup—and he retaliates by cutting her off from credit cards and the ATM. John gives her his credit card but it doesn’t work for long, and Gabrielle must flirt with a guy at a restaurant to get her bill paid. After Gabrielle makes it clear to Carlos that she’ll survive without him, he destroys the post-nup.

Susan’s dismayed by her mother’s antics: Sophie flirts with the ice cream truck man, and even brings home two men, with one of them for Susan. Susan doesn’t think her mother should be doing this, and pushes her mother to realize that she’s not over Mike as quickly as Sophie’s over Morty. Sophie tries to convince Mike to reconcile with Susan, but he has other things on his mind: his financial backer, Noah, tells him that Noah’s daughter Deidre was found, dead, in a toy box—and Mike learns that the box may have belonged to Paul. We, in turn, learn Mike went to prison for killing a cop.

FEAR NO MORE (Episode Twenty)

Lynette learns that Tom's been working with his ex, Annabel, for the past 3 months. Worried about this, Lynette invites Annabel to dinner in hopes of convincing Annabel that Lynette and Tom's marriage is rock solid. Tom's put off by Lynette's tactics, but it's Lynette who's left in the cold when she ends up at home as Tom and Annabel pull an all nighter at work.

George runs into Bree when she’s with Rex and they agree to go out together; but when Rex doesn’t like the idea of Bree and George spending time together, Bree tells George she can’t be with someone who has feelings for her. George lies, claiming he has a girlfriend, and he forces one of his coworkers to attend the Solis’ party as his date. When Rex sees this, he shoves George into the pool, and George brings Bree with him! Afterwards, Bree and George agree to be friends in secret.

Zach tries to get close to Julie again but she wants nothing to do with him. Mike overhears Edie tell Paul about breaking into his house, so Mike warns Susan about staying away from Paul. After a confrontation with Paul, Susan’s kitchen explodes, and she hires Mr. Shaw to find out what’s going on.

Meanwhile, Felicia flashes back to a time when she told her sister Mrs. Huber about how Mary Alice -- once known as Angela -- disappeared at about the same time as a drug addict’s baby boy, who’s now known as Zach, vanished from Utah.

After vomiting, Gabrielle suspects she's pregnant, and a pregnancy test confirms her suspicions. When she discovers her birth control pills have been tampered with, Gabrielle causes a scene at Carlos’ pre-prison party by slapping him.

SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE (Episode 21)

Gabrielle confronts Carlos about what he did to the birth control, but Carlos blames his misdeeds on his dead mother. Gabrielle admits to John she’s pregnant and he wants to come clean with Carlos, but Gabrielle convinces him not to do so, and an oblivious Carlos thinks of John as practically family.

Lynette fears that going for 10 days since she and Tom had sex means their marriage is in trouble. They try to have sex, but Lynette’s messy appearance keeps Tom from enjoying himself. Lynette dresses as a French maid in hopes of enticing Tom, but when Tom arrives home, she’s asleep, and he and his colleague discover her new look. Tom dresses in skimpy underwear in hopes of turning on his wife, and his tactics work.

Morty returns and he and Sophie become engaged! Sophie and Morty both think Susan and Mike should try to work things out. Meanwhile, Mr. Shaw has told Paul about Susan hiring him, and thanks to Paul, Mr. Shaw tells Susan that Paul’s claims have been true all along. Susan hires Mr. Shaw to investigate Mike, and learns he killed a cop! But this investigation leads him to Deirdre’s family, where Kendra informs Susan that Mike was acting in self defense to save Deirdre from a bad cop. Thanks to this news, Susan and Mike reunite.

As Paul’s keeping Zach drugged, Felicia finds the unconscious Zach and takes him to her house. Later, Felicia confronts Paul, informing him she knows he killed Martha, and Martha’s diaries reveal everything. Felicia insists that Paul leave town, and leave Zach with her. Paul reluctantly agrees.

GOODBYE FOR NOW (Episode Twenty-two)

Susan and Mike decide to move in together, to Edie’s horror. Edie convinces the other women that this is a bad idea, but when Susan joins them for an intervention, Susan convinces her friends that Mike’s a good guy.

Zach’s frustrated to learn his father left town; Felicia stops him from finding a note that says Zach’s to meet Paul secretly Thursday night. Felicia tells Mike where to find Paul and gives him Martha’s diary. When Susan finds this, she becomes suspicious of Mike again. Mike knocks Paul out.

Gabrielle learns that it’s impossible her mother-in-law dabbled with her birth control, so Carlos admits to his mistake. Carlos becomes suspicious of Gabrielle when she’s around Justin. She drives away from her house, after first suggesting to Carlos he’s not the father. Carlos follows Gabrielle to Justin’s, and ends up attacking Justin for having an affair with his wife! When Carlos is arrested, he learns Justin’s gay, and can’t believe he’s attacked a gay guy for the second time. Now Carlos believes Gabrielle made up the affair to make him angry.

Tom’s upset that Lynette keeps stopping by the office to check up on Annabel. Lynette comes up with a new plan to get rid of her supposed rival: she tries to get Annabel hired on at another firm. But Annabel uses the offer to get a promotion Tom had wanted. When Tom confronts his boss about this, Tom quits his job -- then learns Lynette earlier kept him from the promotion he’d wanted.

Bree breaks off her friendship with George after catching him with an erection around her. George goes to her house, switches out Rex’s heart medication pills, and then finds Rex’s box of S&M gear. Later, George tells Bree that Rex was bragging at the hospital about his S&M fetish. Rex denies this, but Bree’s angry at him anyway, and when he starts to have a heart attack, Bree makes the bed instead of immediately driving him to the hospital.

ONE WONDERFUL DAY (Episode Twenty-three)

At the hospital, Rex apologizes to Bree for the mistakes he’s made as a husband. But when Rex’s doctor informs him that his potassium levels are high and suggests Bree may be poisoning him, Rex writes a letter to Bree forgiving her for what she’s done. Later, Bree’s at home when she gets a call: Rex is dead! Bree holds herself together for a while before finally sobbing uncontrollably.

Gabrielle testifies for Carlos after first getting him to agree he’ll be taking care of their child. But when John comes into the courtroom and tells Carlos about his affair with Gabrielle, Carlos becomes enraged and tries to attack John! Only it appears Carlos is going after Justin.

Lynette learns Tom quit, and also learns he knows about what happened with the promotion before. Later, Tom tells Lynette he’s come up with a plan: he’s going to be a stay at home dad, and Lynette’s going back to work! Lynette begins to warm to the idea.

Edie introduces herself to new neighbors Betty and Matthew Applewhite, who moved in to their house sight unseen and who don’t want Edie to come inside.

Angry at Felicia after she tells him Paul’s not coming back, Zach beats her up. He then proceeds to hold Susan at gunpoint, as they wait for Mike to return home. Meanwhile, Mike’s taken Paul out to a deserted quarry, where Paul reveals the truth about Mary Alice’s secret: Deirdre sold her baby to Paul and Mary Alice, who moved away and changed their names. When Deirdre came back for Dana -- now known as Zach -- Mary Alice accidentally killed Deidre and then they buried her body in a box in the pool. After learning the truth about Zach, Mike leaves Paul stranded, then returns home, never suspecting Zach’s waiting with a gun.

NEXT (Episode 24)

Mike’s surprised to see Zach with a gun, but Susan tries to take control of the situation, leading to Zach running out of the house and Susan becoming injured. At the hospital, Susan tells a police officer about evil Zach but privately Mike suggests to the officer that Susan exaggerated what happened; Julie overhears this and tells Susan, who confronts Mike. Mike and Susan go to the morgue to identify a body that may be Zach’s, but to Mike’s relief, it’s not Zach. Susan realizes that Zach is Mike’s child and Mike admits this. Later, Susan informs Mike that she can’t live with him because of Zach.

Bree asks Betty to play the organ at Rex’s funeral, and she accepts. Matthew tells Danielle he lost his father, too, but Betty calls Matthew on his lie and says he should leave the cleverness to Betty. After the funeral, Betty and Matthew take a tray of food down to someone in the basement -- but Matthew has to take a gun with him. Who are they keeping captive down there?

Lynette prepares for a job interview but she’s worried as she’s been away from business for 7 years. At the interview, her interviewer, Nina, doesn’t like it when Lynette reveals she has 4 kids, though Lynette stresses her husband will be taking care of the kids. But when Tom throws out his back just as Lynette’s going to her followup interview, Lynette’s forced to take baby Penny with her. She almost screws up the interview thanks to her focus on Penny, but after she proves she can multitask by changing Penny’s diaper while giving a speech about plans for the company, she gets the job.

John tries to get Gabrielle back but she tosses him out of her house. At the prison, Gabrielle tries to make things up with Carlos but he has one big demand: a paternity test. Rather than getting a test herself, Gabrielle steals the results from someone else and tells Carlos, but he doesn’t appear to think it’s enough.

Bree tells the other women about Rex’s death. Her mother-in-law Phyllis Van De Kamp shows up, sobbing melodramatically. Later, she wants Rex to wear an orange tie at the funeral, but Bree insists that won’t happen. When Bree and Phyllis argue with the reverend over the details of Rex’s funeral, Bree uninvites her mother-in-law from the funeral. Andrew and Danielle convince Bree to have a change of heart about this, and Bree and Phyllis appear to make up. But when Bree sees that Phyllis has put the orange tie on Rex’s body, Bree makes a scene at the funeral by taking Tom’s tie from him and putting it on Rex.

YOU COULD DRIVE A PERSON CRAZY (Episode 25)

Susan learns that her ex-husband Karl is sleeping with Edie; later, Julie reveals Karl and Edie have been dating for months. They may even be moving in together! Susan tells Mike she wants to keep their relationship casual, but pulls away from getting hot and heavy with him. After Edie brags to Susan that Karl thought sex with Edie was the best he’s ever had, Susan one ups her rival by noting that Karl wanted to reunite with Susan! As Edie uses her roller skates to follow Susan as she drives away, Susan accidentally backed into Edie with her car.

When Phyllis makes a point of grieving in public, Bree becomes tired of her mother-in-law’s antics, and slaps Phyllis! Phyllis suspects Bree is glad Rex is gone. Meanwhile, Rex’s doctor tells the insurance investigator about the note Rex left forgiving Bree. Phyllis calls the insurance investigator after seeing Bree and George in a close hug, and the investigator starts to probe into whether Bree killed Rex.

Gabrielle’s frustrated that Carlos still controls her bank accounts. But it’s Carlos with the major problem: unless Gabrielle pays an inmate’s girlfriend $7,000, the inmate will attack Carlos! Gabrielle delivers the money but after learning the girlfriend doesn’t want to use the money for breast implants, Gabrielle pockets the money. Carlos is beaten because of this, and he must agree to give Gabrielle control of the money before she’ll take the money back to the woman.

Lynette comes home to find a messy house; Tom didn’t even change the bed after Penny threw up in it! Mad at her husband, Lynette sleeps on the couch. Later, she comes home with a rat, which she places within the messy house. After work, Lynette comes home and finds the house is spotless, but the rat is dead! Lynette thanks the dead rat for helping her marriage.

Susan questions Betty about the noises from inside the Applewhite home, but Susan catches Betty in a lie about it being Matthew’s fault. Betty tells a psychiatrist a story about why she has insomnia, and he gives her sleeping pills, which she proceeds to put in her captive’s food to keep him quiet.

YOU’LL NEVER GET AWAY FROM ME (Episode 26)

Bree learns Rex’s body has been dug up because she’s under investigation for Rex’s murder! Bree sends her mother-in-law home, then takes a polygraph test to clear her name. But the test suggests she loves George. Bree has George take the polygraph test and he passes it with flying colors.

Carlos is upset that Gabrielle’s never genuinely apologized for her affair. Gabrielle follows John to his latest job, and learns he’s sleeping with a woman even older than her! She destroys the woman’s bushes, and when John finds Gabrielle, Gabrielle tells him she doesn’t want to be with him again. She goes to Carlos and gives him the apology he wanted.

Lynette’s new boss Nina won’t let Lynette off the hook when Lynette wants time off on Parker’s first day of kindergarten. Lynette uses a remote camera so she can see Parker on his first day, but she keeps getting called away to an important meeting. Desperate, Lynette causes a cup of coffee to spill in Nina’s lap, allowing Lynette time to say goodbye to Parker before he heads to his class.

When their basement prisoner escapes, Betty and Matthew must hit him to get him back to the basement.

Susan’s mad when she learns Edie will be playing the guitar with Julie at a church talent show, so Susan goes to Betty for piano lessons in hopes of taking Edie’s place at the show. After Edie and Susan argue over who will accompany Julie, Julie chooses her mother. At the show, though, after seeing Karl and Edie in the audience, Susan has a change of heart and lets Edie take over. Without her guitar, Edie’s forced to play piano, and she’s no good at it.

Felicia warns Mike that Paul will come back to search for Zach.

MY HEART BELONGS TO DADDY (Episode 27)

Lynette blames her going back to work when Parker develops an imaginary friend named Mrs. Mulberry. She tries, and fails, to convince her son to give up his new friend. She steals the imaginary friend’s umbrella and tosses it away, but when Parker sees the umbrella destroyed by a garbage truck, Parker grieves the loss of his friend. Tom comforts Lynette who fears she’s a bad mother for what she’s done.

Gabrielle starts a prison riot after arguing with Carlos’ lawyer about a conjugal visit. Firing the lawyer, Gabrielle seeks new representation, and she meets David Bradley, who’s immediately interested in her sexually. Gabrielle does succeed in getting a conjugal visit with Carlos.

Susan tells Mike she’s okay with Zach and agrees to help find him. While handing out fliers about Zach, Susan finds him, but he runs away and threatens her with a piece of wood. Returning to Mike, Susan doesn’t tell him what she found. When Susan again finds Zach, she wants to take him to Mike, but learning that Zach still wants Julie leads Susan to give Zach money to go to Utah to search for Paul.

Andrew is not at all pleased to find his mother’s become close friends with George. He doesn’t want to attend dinner with George but Bree forces him to do so. The dinner goes badly. Later, George kisses Bree at Andrew’s swim meet, and a furious Andrew attacks George. Thanks to George’s plan, Bree sends Andrew back to his special camp.

THEY ASKED ME WHY I BELIEVE IN YOU (Episode 28)

After she threatens to sue the city, Bree gets Rex’s body returned to her and she plans to rebury her husband. When the detective investigating Bree shows her the note Rex wrote before he died, Bree is furious that Rex could think so badly of her, so she has Rex’s body placed in a new grave in a bad part of the cemetery, and she throws away her wedding ring at the same time.

Tired of her boss being so stressed, Lynette takes Nina to a bar, where Nina ends up meeting someone and having sex. The next morning, Nina’s actually nice! Now Lynette’s stuck going with Nina to the bar every night. Tiring of this quickly, Lynette develops a plan: she undresses a bit, flirts with the men, and becomes more popular in the bar than Nina, who’s upset at not getting any more attention.

Susan meets with her good friend and agent Lonnie, who is starting a new agency -- because he’s embezzled money from his clients. Susan wants to stay with him anyway, and Mike tells Susan he doesn’t believe in second chances. This causes Susan to tell Julie what she did with Zach. When Lonnie admits to embezzling Susan’s money, she tells him she can no longer be his agent, and after he tries to kiss her, she runs away.

Carlos doesn’t want David as his lawyer because David looks so handsome. Determined to keep David as Carlos’ lawyer, Gabrielle urges David to insist to Carlos he’s got no interest in Gabrielle. Instead, David tells Carlos he’ll seduce Gabrielle unless Carlos hires David. Carlos takes on David as his lawyer.

Betty learns that in Chicago someone’s been arrested for the murder of Melanie Foster. She writes a note about this to the police, explaining that they have the wrong guy -- because Caleb, her basement prisoner, is actually responsible. Matthew doesn’t want the note sent but Betty sends it anyway. Caleb almost escapes from the basement but after overhearing Betty say that he’s slow and would be executed for his crime, Caleb goes back to the basement.

Paul Young returns to his home on Wisteria Lane.

I WISH I COULD FORGET YOU (Episode 29)

Whenever George goes to kiss Bree, she develops hives. Bree reacts badly when Dr. Goldfine tells her this is a psychosomatic illness. Bree and George go away for a romantic weekend together, where she again develops hives. George gives Bree medication for the problem, knowing it’ll leave her out of it. Later, Bree awakens to find George has been at her bedside. She’s not ready to have sex with him, but then relents, and the two have sex.

Lynette’s boss Nina and other coworkers make fun of Lynette’s wornout suits, so Lynette buys a bunch of expensive new suits. Tom convinces Lynette she must take back the suits as they’re too expensive. She decides to wear a suit to an important presentation, but hides the price tag -- until Nina finds it and rips it away. Tom’s again upset, until Lynette tells him they need to splurge occasionally -- and she’s bought him brand new golf clubs!

Carlos’ lawyer, David, is shot by the police, after David’s almost shot by a stalker. Gabrielle visits David in the hospital and he seems smitten by her . . . so smitten, in fact, that David walks out of the courtroom later and confesses to Gabrielle he loves her! Gabrielle entices David by wearing lingerie and telling him she won’t leave Carlos, but will have an affair with David. When David agrees to these terms, Gabrielle makes David see that he doesn’t love her, as Carlos would never settle for an affair.

While helping fit Sophie for her wedding dress, Susan learns from Mike that he may be proposing soon. But Susan has a new problem, as she learns Paul’s back and she fears for her life. She turns him into the police, but fearing for his own neck, Mike lies to the police and doesn’t back up Susan’s story about Paul. Frightened by Paul, Susan admits to him that she sent Zach away, and Paul spills this news to Mike. Susan’s forced to admit the truth to Mike, and Mike dumps Susan, then leaves as she’s sobbing in the street.

COLOR AND LIGHT (Episode 30)

Lynette befriended Norma, whose twin boys got along with her twins. Their play dates went in a weird direction when the boys brought a videotape of their parents having sex. A mortified Norma pulled out of the playdates, and desperate to keep the friends for her sons, Lynette and Tom went to see Norma and her husband Leonard about the amateur porn. But when Leonard and Norma were both excited about sharing their porn interests with Lynette and Tom, the Scavos realized the play dates were over.

George introduced Bree to his mother, and then he asked Bree to marry him. She accepted, reluctantly, and Dr. Goldfine had her admit she did so only out of politeness. George pushed things further when his mother threw a party for him and Bree and people wondered when Bree and George would be having kids. Upset, Bree told George she was unsure about the direction their relationship was moving, and mentioned that Dr. Goldfine had helped her make this decision. Later, George pushed Dr. Goldfine off a bridge.

Susan wanted to be friends with Mike, but he doesn't want to be anything with her. As Susan's luck would have it, Karl and Edie also broke up, and Karl asked to spend the night at Susan's home. After too much alcohol, Karl admitted to Susan he and Edie broke up because she discovered he sometimes looks at a photo of him with Susan. Susan and Karl ended up sleeping together, to Julie's horror. Afterwards, Susan told Karl that they weren't back in a relationship. Edie and Karl reunited, and Edie thanked Susan, believing Susan had said something to make the reunion happen.

Gabrielle wanted to fit into a new dress before meeting up with her former model friends, but to her horror she learned she'd expanded -- to a size zero. She decided to go without eating for a couple days, but this didn't help matters either, and she had to go to extraordinary lengths to tighten her dress. Bree believed that Gabrielle would come around to loving motherhood, but Gabrielle doubted this. After meeting with her friends, though, Gabrielle realized she no longer had anything in common with them. At home, Gabrielle was surprised by Caleb; running away, she ended up falling down the stairs and had to be taken away by ambulance. Has she miscarried?

Betty couldn't convince Caleb to take responsibility for his actions. He broke out of the basement; as Caleb searched for Matthew, he ran into Danielle and pretended he was there to ask her out.

THE SUN WON’T SET (Episode 31)

The neighborhood meets to discuss the intruder, but when Mrs. McCluskey wants to hire security, Betty distracts them by playing the piano.

A frustrated Lynette comes home to discover her kids are playing outside when they should be in bed; she chastizes her husband for allowing them out. Tom teaches the kids to run from strangers, but Lynette doubts this will work. To test her theory, she gets her co-worker Stu to go to her house and entice her kids with candy. Stu does manage to get the kids to come to him, and that’s when he’s attacked by Mrs. McCluskey with a taser!

At the prison, Carlos is upset Gabrielle’s not upset about losing the baby. Gabrielle chooses instead to spend her time shopping. She’s surprised at home by Hector, who informs her he was sent by Carlos to help her. He won’t leave unti she decides to give him money, but he ends up taking her to the park, where he helps her say goodbye to the baby she lost by releasing a balloon.

Mike tells Susan he won’t be coming to her mother’s wedding, and when Susan brings up that her father was a merchant marine who died in a Vietnam battle, Mike pokes a hole in the story, Susan confronts her mother at Sophie’s wedding rehearsal, but it’s Morty who has to tell her that Susan’s father was Sophie’s one night stand. Susan forgives her mother, until at the wedding when Sophie tearfully admits Susan’s father was a married man -- and he’s living in town! Susan fled the wedding and then learned where her father’s at.

Bree’s distressed to learn George “accidentally” placed an engagement notice in the paper. George insists she wear his engagement ring if she won’t tell everyone about the relationship. When George’s ex warns Bree that George is crazy and once burned her ex’s car, Bree refuses to believe this; George convinces Bree that it’s his ex who’s the crazy one. When Bree meets with Ty Grant, her old boyfriend, George is so jealous that he makes a scene, leading to Bree ending their engagement. George steals Ty’s car and burns it.

Caleb meets secretly with Danielle. Later, Mike catches Caleb, who’s taken away by the polic as the neighborhood watches, and Betty warns Caleb to remain quiet.

THAT'S GOOD, THAT'S BAD (Episode 32)

George begins to stalk Bree: he sings outside her house, bikes in front of her house, and just won’t leave her alone. When she tells the hospitalized Dr. Goldfine that she broke up with George, he happens to mention being attacked by someone on a blue bike, and Bree realizes what George has done. George runs away when he sees the police are searching his home and learns via a phone call with Bree that she knows what he did to the doctor. While Bree’s hosting an event at a hotel, George is at a room in the hotel. He sends a note for Bree and then when he learns she’s coming, he takes a bunch of pills. Bree finally shows up, as the pills have got to him, and she gets him to admit he killed Rex. Although she tells him she’s called an ambulance, she hasn’t, and she walks out, leaving George to die.

Ed doesn’t like Lynette’s presentation at work and Nina also agrees it sucks, though Lynette’s frustrated when her coworkers won’t agree with her that it’s Nina who’s in the wrong. When Lynette goes to the office late at night, she discovers Nina’s having sex with Stu. The next morning, a pleased Lynette blackmails Nina: she’ll keep quiet about the hanky-panky if Nina’s nice. Nina agrees to this, but then Lynette learns that Stu’s been fired and other firings may be on the way. Lynette tells Stu to tell Ed the truth to get his job back, but this backfires, as Stu instead threatens sexual harrassment; Ed fires Nina, gives Lynette Nina’s job, and fires other people as well. Lynette learns Nina used to be nicer before she worked with Ed, and now Lynette may be the next to become bitter with no time for relationships.

Gabrielle’s pleased when Carlos is paroled from prison, but less pleased when she learns Carlos owes his release to a Catholic group -- and specifically to a nun, Sister Mary. Carlos vows to be a good, less materialistic person from now on, to Gabrielle’s horror. Gabrielle invites the nun over for a meal, fearing that Carlos is romantically interested in this woman. Instead of pledging his love for the nun, though, Carlos pledges his sports car, and also decides to give up his materialistic ways. Gabrielle tries to talk Carlos out of this by seducing Carlos, and afterwards, she urges the nun to keep her distance. But Mary’s not giving up without a fight, she claims -- and she has God on her side.

Susan tells Julie she doesn’t want to be close to her father, but when she meets him, and he gives her a promotional hat from his store, she’s excited. She plans to get a job at his store, get to know him, and then eventually tell him the truth about their relationship. None of Susan’s friends like this plan, but Susan goes for a job interview anyway. She’s overqualified and too eager, so her father mistakenly believes she’s been sent by his wife’s private eye. When Susan tells him he’s her father, he goes into another room -- and then she finds he’s collapsed, thanks to a heart problem. At the hospital, Susan wants to get closer to her father, but he wants nothing to do with her, as her presence could ruin his marriage. When her father’s wife shows up, Susan doesn’t tell the woman the truth, but tells her father she’s not giving up on him.

COMING HOME (Episode 33)

Zach returns home, but Paul lies to him about knowing the identity of his biological father. Paul tells Mike that Zach's back but Paul and Mike are at a standstill over what happens next.

After learning Caleb's in the psych ward, Betty goes there, pretending to want to play the piano. As she plays the piano, Matthew helps Caleb sneak away, never realizing that a man named Monroe plans to get Caleb. Monroe follows them out.

Lynette wants to get day care at her office, but can't unless her boss's wife signs on. But Ed's wife Fran isn't about to leave her child at daycare, even after Lynette pleads her case. Lynette convinces Ed he should take control of the situation, but isn't prepared when Ed takes his child away from home without telling Fran! Fran and Ed squabble but Lynette forces the two to realize their own mistakes, and Lynette finally gets the daycare she wanted.

Susan's still meeting with her father Addison, but he's not as into their meetings as she is. She's there for him, though, when he's arrested for soliciting a cop posing as a hooker. When Susan drives her father home, his wife Carol mistakenly believes Susan's having an affair with Addison, and paints WHORE on Susan's house. Addison agrees to tell Carol the truth, but it's Susan who tells Carol the truth, after Carol confronts her at the supermarket. Addison wants to get to know Susan better, but first he needs to work on his marriage, and Susan's okay with waiting until he's ready.

Bree learns the police have proof against George, but she doesn't inform them of her role in his suicide. Andrew's come home, and he's angry at his mother for not suspecting George was evil. Hes not going to listen to her anymore, but he is going to invite his "special friend" Justin over. When Justin arrives and the two play video games, Andrew muses about Bree walking in on him fooling around with Justin. Andrew makes it clear he hates his mother and he's waiting for dirt on Bree before he destroys her. Later, when Andrew tells Bree he would feel better if he knew George suffered, Bree tells Andrew the truth about George's suicide, and he hugs his mother, having finally got dirt on her.

Carlos and Gabrielle argue about his work with Sister Mary; Carlos and Sister Mary are working on a mission trip that's going to Botswana. When Gabrielle learns there aren't enough funds to send the nun, she donates the money so that Mary will leave for the trip. But this backfires, as Sister wants to take Carlos with her! Carlos and Gabrielle argue about this but Carlos is determined to go. To stop her husband from leaving, Gabrielle keeps the doctor from learning about Carlos' allergy to eggs, so Carlos ends up getting a bad injection and is very ill. Gabrielle fears she'll lose Carlos if he becomes too good for her, and she hears him call out for the nun...

ONE MORE KISS (Episode 34)

At a dinner party, Gabrielle gives Tom an kiss when he mentions he was a band geek who didn’t get kissed until he was 18. Lynette becomes jealous thanks to this but when she brings it up to Gabrielle, Gabrielle doesn’t see what the big deal is. Lynette also learns about Gabrielle’s affair with John and this complicates her perspective on the kiss. Lynette and Tom are divided about what the kiss means.

Meanwhile, Carlos and Gabrielle also argue over her actions, and she tells her husband he should have an affair to even the score between them. Lynette and Gabrielle appear to make up but when Lynette doesn’t think Gabrielle understands her point of view, Lynette gives Carlos a long, passionate kiss. Afterwards, Carlos approaches Lynette and hints that Gabrielles’ given him permission to have an affair with her, but Lynette pushes him away.

Bree sees Andrew kissing Justin and insists that Andrew not do such things in public. But Andrew doesn’t want to listen to his mother. Things become worse when Bree finds Andrew and Justin in bed in the morning; Andrew reacts by blackmailing his mother, as he says he’ll turn Bree in for killing George. Bree hires Karl as her lawyer, and he tries to put the fear of God into Andrew.

After learning Zach’s back in town, Susan wants to bring him and Mike closer together. Zach’s frustrated that Paul insists on homeschooling him, and Paul lies when Zach wonders if he killed Mrs. Huber. After Zach apologizes to Susan and Julie for his actions, Susan decides to bring Mike and Zach closer together by arranging bowling, and Mike and Zach do bond. But when Paul learns about the meeting, he attacks Mike. Later, Julie gives Zach a kiss on the cheek.

The women discuss the Applewhites, who they find creepy. Later, Monroe watches the Applewhite home from his car, where Edie tells him to leave as he’s been there for hours. When the Applewhites leave, Monroe sneaks in to get Caleb, but ends up falling through the stairs and dying. Betty learns he was in contact with someone from the Fosters in Chicago, and realizes she has to get rid of the body. But Betty and Matthew accidentally lock the keys in Monroe’s trunk with the body! The body is found when Susan accidentally hits the car and the trunk’s opened. The women suspect the Applewhites are involved.

WE'RE GONNA BE ALL RIGHT (Episode 35)

Susan has a bad blind date and things become even worse when she and her date headbutt and he must be taken to the hospital. There, she finds herself interested in Dr. Ron. Later, after Julie encourages Susan to ask him out, Susan returns to the hospital and makes up fake symptoms in order to spend more time with him. This backfires, however, as he orders an MRI for her. Going in for the MRI, she embarrasses herself, first by trying to put on the MRI dust jacket as a hospital gown, and then by asking Dr. Ron out -- while he’s not even present. Later, when Dr. Ron informs her that he’s worried she’s dying as he wasn’t able to find anything in the tests, she confesses what she did to him. He’s mad, but not so mad that he won’t agree to go out with her after a few days of cooling off.

The women of Wisteria Lane are suspicious of Betty, who tries to make nice with her neighbors. Bree takes out the detective who investigated her for Rex’s murder in hopes of getting him to do a background check on the Applewhites, but her recitation of the evidence against them isn’t enough for the detective, especially since he thought she was asking him out for a date. After Bree politely turns him down, he tells her she’s had too much to drink and wants to drive her home. Believing he’s trying to get back at her, Bree is angry when he stops her car and arrests her for drinking. She’s allowed to go home but when she can’t get her car until morning, she ends up hitching a ride with Betty. After Betty suggests that Bree may in fact be drinking too much, Bree brings up Betty’s own secrets, leading Betty to call Edie to say she’s selling her house.

Lynette comes home to find what Tom sees as an emergency: the kids have chickenpox! This is especially bad for Tom, who’s never had it before. Lynette thinks he’s being a baby but when he reminds her he’s an even bigger baby when he’s sick, Lynette arranges to stay home. Later, after Tom and Carlos chat about the situation, Tom brings up with Lynette the possibility that he could lose his fertility if he got chickenpox. Lynette’s not so sure what the big deal is, as they’re done having kids -- aren’t they? Yes, but Tom wants the option to have kids with someone else, in case Lynette dies. This doesn’t sit well with Lynette at all, as she’d prefer Tom be miserable in the case of her death. She convinces Tom that he should have a vasectomy. But he can’t go through with it, as he fears it would emasculate him. Both Tom and Lynette realize there’s a problem, but what can be done?

Gabrielle’s gardener Ralph tells her he has a problem that’s wrecked his marriage. He’s addicted to porn -- including the pictures of Gabrielle he found on the Net! Gabrielle can barely believe this, and, mad at her ex-boyfriend Scott for what he’s done, she wants Carlos to go beat him up. He declares he’s become good now and won’t fall back on his rage issues again, even as Gabrielle urges him on. In the hopes of spurring Carlos to action, she undresses to do yoga, and her gardeners are so entranced that one cuts off the other’s finger by accident. But this seems to have done the trick, as Carlos is upset. He goes to confront Scott, and after some more urging from Gabrielle, decides he’ll only talk to Scott. Scott agrees to take down the pictures -- he was going to do so anyway, he tells Carlos, as Gabrielle’s photos weren’t particularly popular online. Carlos is so mad at this that he throws Scott through a door, to Gabrielle’s pleasure.

A blood drive on Wisteria Lane leads Zach to realize that he and Mike share a blood type. Later, Mike meets with Noah, Deirdre’s father and Zach’s grandfather, who’s dying. Noah ends up firing his nurse, as he’s become even more bitter and nasty than before. Mike lies to Noah about the identity of Deidre’s killer and claims he killed Deirdre’s murderer. He also doesn’t plan on being involved with Noah anymore. But Noah may learn the truth eventually anyway, as his new nurse turns out to be Felicia, who knows all about what really happened.

THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT A WAR (Episode 36)

When Edie doesn’t get her way while trying to watch TV, she ties Karl up under the guise of seducing him, then leaves him there to go watch TV.

Matthew and Betty argue when he brings Caleb upstairs and gives his brother a bedroom. Later, Bree’s surprised to find Matthew hiding underneath Danielle’s bed, and she informs Betty of the romance -- but to Bree’s surprise, Betty slaps her son and orders him inside, then reveals they’re planning on moving soon. Betty warns Caleb to stay away from Danielle or she’ll slap him harder than she slapped Matthew. A tearful Danielle demands Bree do something to save her romance with Matthew, and Bree goes to Betty in hopes of making nice. But Betty has no intentions of doing so; meanwhile, Bree sees Caleb in the upstairs bedroom, tells Danielle, and plans to inform her friends. Danielle meets with Matthew, who admits they’re hiding Caleb, but Danielle placates him by revealing her family’s also hiding secrets. Betty informs Bree that if Bree tells anyone what she knows, Betty will inform everyone that Bree helped her son Andrew cover up Juanita’s hit and run. When the women arrive for Bree’s news about the Applewhites, Bree tells them instead that Betty is going to be joining their poker games from now on.

At church, Gabrielle and Carlos argue about his wish to have kids, but Gabrielle becomes even more upset when she learns Sister Mary is back. She has good reason to worry, given that when Carlos admits his problems to Sister Mary, she urges him to annull his marriage to Gabrielle. He can’t convince Gabrielle to promise him a child, and he brings up what happened with Sister Mary. She retaliates by going to confession and telling Father Crowley that Sister Mary is ruining her marriage, though she makes the nun look worse by claiming Carlos and the nun had sex. Gabrielle goes to say goodbye to Mary, who’s being shipped to Alaska; when Mary realizes Gabrielle’s role, the two end up in a huge catfight. Carlos apologizes for the annulment talk and chooses Gabrielle over a kid. Pleased by his choice, Gabrielle tells Carlos she wants to have a child with him.

Lynette gets Tom’s help for an important ad pitch, though all his ideas aren’t solid. The pitch ends up being successful, though Lynette ditched many of her husband’s ideas for it. Now Lynette’s company can afford another executive, and Tom suggests himself! Lynette’s not bowled over by the idea of working with her husband again. He shows up for an interview anyway, using a false name. During the interview, Lynette tries to sabotage her husband’s chances, but Ed loves Tom and wants to hire him on the spot. Later, Lynette tells Tom she confessed the truth to Ed and he can work there, with one condition: he has to forgive her for ruining his promotion before. He tells her he already has forgiven her, and all’s right in their world.

After a date with Dr. Ron, Susan’s disappointed that he doesn’t want to join her inside. Dr. Ron tells her he doesn’t want to move too fast while he’s still her doctor, though he can’t stop himself from giving her a passionate kiss. Later, at the hospital, Dr. Ron tells her she needs a splenectomy, and he can handle it. Susan’s not sure about having him as her surgeon; he hasn’t seen her naked yet, and he’s never done this particular surgery before. Dr. Ron becomes upset when Susan brings up these issues and storms out. Afterwards, Susan waits at the hospital for Dr. Ron, and insists she’s through jumping through hoops for men. But Dr. Ron’s ready to apologize to Susan, and agrees he shouldn’t do the surgery for Susan, as he wants to be involved with her romantically now.

SILLY PEOPLE (Episode 37)

Bree's at a luncheon held by a neighbor when the FBI raid the house and reveal the neighbor is keeping a Chinese woman as her slave. Xiao-Mei, the former slave, is taken in by Carlos, over Gabrielle's objections. Gabrielle stops complaining when she realizes Xiao-Mei can cook, clean, and sew! She fails to convince Carlos to keep the ex-slave as their new maid, but after giving Xiao-Mei a piece of jewelry, the woman doesn't want to leave. Gabrielle has her maid, who considers herself family.

Tom can't get Lynette to help him deal with their boss Ed, who vetoes his ad pitches. Tom ends up bonding with his boss over frat experiences, and then they bond some more as Ed dares him to do humiliating things. But this can only go so far, and Lynette urges her boss to stop the bets. She takes Ed on herself, challenging him to test her and if she wins, he'll stop daring Tom to do crazy things. She succeeds -- by eating a pound of raw bacon.

Susan's lost her medical insurance thanks to her former agent; how can she afford her surgery? Edie suggests Susan marry someone, and even hooks her up with Gary, a gay man who wishes to marry for his mother's sake. But when Gary's life partner, Steven, objects to the marriage, Gary leaves Susan at the altar. When Karl learns of Susan's predicament he proposes marriage to Susan, who accepts. They both agree that Edie must never find out.

Felicia gives Noah an anonymous note informing him he has a grandchild. With the help of Detective Sullivan, he gets into contact with Mike, who admits the truth about Zach. Noah gives Mike 2 days to bring Zach in to see him.

Susan and Edie are concerned by Bree's change of heart about the Applewhites, but Bree keeps them at bay. She secretly sneaks off to the Applewhite home and talks to Caleb, who reveals what happened to Melanie Foster. When Betty learns about this meeting, she's furious, but Bree holds her ground and gets Betty to admit what happened with Caleb and Melanie. Touched by the length she's gone to protect her son, Bree finds herself commiserating with Betty.

THANK YOU SO MUCH (Episode 38)

Karl and Susan are preparing to get married. When Edie finds the ring and prenup, she mistakenly believes Karl is going to propose to her. Susan's feeling guilty about marrying Karl while she's dating Dr. Ron, but Julie convinces her she's in the right. Dr. Ron and Susan and Karl and Edie all end up at the same restaurant, where Susan freaks out after learning Edie thinks she's getting engaged tonight. Later, Susan tells Karl about Edie's beliefs, and he decides to propose to Edie too. Susan claims she's not jealous of Karl proposing to Edie. Later, Susan and Karl tie the knot.

Mike urges Paul to leave town with Zach before Noah finds them. Zach overhears and learns he's Mike's son.

Gabrielle's sexy flirt of a mother Lucia arrives for a visit. When Gabrielle learns she might not be able to get pregnant again, she brings up the possibility of adoption, while Carlos is more drawn to the idea of surrogacy. Lucia surprises Gabrielle by saying she wants to be their surrogate! Carlos tries to get to the root of Gabrielle's issues with her mother and learns it dates back to when Gabrielle's stepfather sexually abused her at the age of fifteen. Carlos talks with Lucia about this, and after learning Lucia thinks Gabrielle seduced her ex, he tells Gabrielle he's willing to adopt.

A depressed Bree drinks too much and must go home in a cab, where she then collapses on the front lawn. Mrs. McCluskey sees this and alerts Andrew, who's amused by his mother's condition. Meanwhile, Lynette doesn't want Mrs. McCluskey to babysit for her, and sends Mrs. McCluskey away. Lynette leaves her kids with a hungover Bree, who drinks some more and falls asleep. Lynette's kids take off and are found miles away. Bree claims the boys are lying when they say she was asleep, but later Mrs. McCluskey reveals the truth to Lynette. Lynette confronts Bree, who denies a problem; Lynette takes Bree's empty wine bottles and lines them up her doorstep to show Bree she has a problem.

THERE IS NO OTHER WAY (Episode 39)

Noah has Paul arrested and then attacked by two goons, and Mike wants to tell Zach what's happened, but Paul returns home, having fought off his attackers. Felicia's disappointed by Paul's survival.

Tom isn't happy when Lynette doesn't like one of his pitches, especially when she claims he didn't give his best effort. Tom also believes Lynette's acting like his boss in the bedroom! Tom takes control of the situation in the elevator, when he stops and kisses his wife.

Carlos and Gabrielle convince Lynette to lie for them in hopes of assuring they can adopt a child. The adoption agency worker is impressed until John's mother, Helen, who happens to work there, reveals that Carlos was in jail and Gabrielle had sex with her teenage son. The Solises are forced to go to a shady lawyer, who will find them a baby, at a price.

Susan's in the hospital preparing for her surgery; Dr. Ron gives her flowers and Nurse Heisle tells her he's planning on telling Susan he loves her. When the nurse learns Susan's married to Karl, Susan convinces her to keep quiet. After seeing Mike, just as she's going to have her surgery, a doped-up Susan tells Dr. Ron she loves Mike. The nurse also admits to Dr. Ron that Susan's married to Karl!

Lynette tells Gabrielle and Susan about Bree's drinking problem. Bree slaps Andrew when he gets snippy because she won't give him his trust fund money. He has his boyfriend Justin punch him in the face, then hires a lawyer to emancipate him from Bree under the pretense that Bree's an abusive drunk. Bree joins AA, not because she believes she has a problem, but because it will look better to a judge.

COULD I LEAVE YOU? (Episode 40)

Gabrielle's determined to find a pretty mother to give her a pretty baby, and she rejects an especially ugly mother. She's introduced to Libby, a pregnant woman who works at a strip club. The woman rejects Gabrielle as a mother, supposedly for being Mexican, until Gabrielle sways Libby with jewelry. It turns out that Libby has a man in her life, and may not have been honest with Gabrielle and Carlos about her situation.

At AA, Bree admits to Peter that she's not really an alcoholic but is only trying to look good. Later, while having a drink at a department store, Bree sees Andrew using her credit cards, and he threatens to falsely claim Bree sexually molested him. Bree drinks some more and wakes up in the department store, locked inside! She has to call Peter for help, and he asks her if she's still convinced she has no problem.

Matthew wants money for a present for Danielle's birthday. Danielle comes home to find Caleb in her bedroom with a present, and she's angry, throwing him out.

Lynette hires an employee who likes having daycare at work. But Lynette and the rest of the office soon discovers that the woman is breastfeeding her 5 year old son! The office wants Lynette to talk to the woman about this, but the woman threatens legal action. Lynette convinces the 5 year old to try out chocolate milk. Later, Lynette's not sympathetic when she learns the woman was still breastfeeding so she could remain thin.

Dr. Ron confronts Susan about Mike and she denies knowing anyone named Mike. Later, Susan has Dr. Ron over for dinner with her and Karl, to show that the marriage means nothing. Karl creates a problem with the sink, then sends Dr. Ron over to Mike's--where Dr. Ron learns Susan lied to him about knowing and dating someone named Mike. Dr. Ron storms out but later calls Susan again.

EVERYBODY SAYS DON'T (Episode 41)

Felicia's upset that everyone in the neighborhood is treating Paul like a neighbor. At Edie's engagement party, she makes a scene by giving Edie her sister's dentures as a gift, then reminds everyone Paul's a killer.

Carlos and Gabrielle learn that Libby has a boyfriend, Frank, who doesn't know she plans on giving up her kid. Frank's angry with Libby's plan, even as Gabrielle and Carlos realize they can get the child if they convince Frank to sign away his rights. Libby stuns everyone by telling Frank that he's not the baby's father, as she had sex with cowboys at a rodeo! Libby gives birth to a baby girl and Carlos and Gabrielle are going to take her. When they overhear Libby tell Frank that his 19 year old brother is the baby's father, Carlos and Gabrielle kidnap the baby from the hospital.

When Bree learns that Lynette is going to give a deposition about what happened with her kids, Bree tries to butter Lynette up, but Lynette sees through this and vows to tell the truth. She wants to believe Bree's innocent but is torn when she sees a picture of Andrew with a black eye. Lynette talks to Andrew and realizes he really wants a car. At the deposition, Lynette lies for Bree.

Bree's sober, thanks to spending time with her sponsor, Peter. When she kisses him she learns he's a sex addict and he pulls away. He tells her he can't sponsor her any longer and hands her over to Donna, another woman at AA. But Bree is still interested in Peter. When he won't go with her to Edie's engagement party, Bree gets drunk at a bar. Peter comes and gets her. Is there something sparking between these two after all?

Susan's horrified to learn that Edie's engagement party is a surprise wedding. Julie's horrified both by that and the sparks she senses between Susan and Karl, who doesn't appear excited by his engagement. Susan tells Karl about Edie's surprise wedding plans; they lie to Edie, but she's on to them, as Dr. Ron told her about the marriage. She's furious, and insists she could have handled the wedding if she knew the truth. In return, Karl's going to throw Edie a huge wedding, and Susan's going to do all the work for the wedding. At the engagement party, Susan confronts Karl over a picture of them together she found in his possessions; he admits he's not over her, and kisses his wife, but tosses her aside when Edie almost catches them together.

Teaser

1. As Bree approaches George’s house where the police are present, Mary Alice tells us of the various ways you can tell that Bree’s a lady.
2. Inside George’s place, the detective tells Bree that they found the evidence linking George to Rex’s death. Bree pretends to learn of George’s suicide for the first time -- but her surprise is real when she sees George had kept her panties. And then things get worse as Bree sees a large doll that looks like her, and it sinks in what George was doing with it. The police are taking it in as evidence. She insists she’s going to be fine…
3. As she leaves, Bree keeps a stiff upper lip, even as the police officer behind her is carrying off the Bree doll.

ACT I
1. Mary Alice talks about the story of the prodigal son, as Zach approaches his house and Paul sees him coming. The two hug.
2. Inside, Zach’s eating as he and his father discuss what happened. Zach came back after his money ran out. Paul admits to Zach that Zach’s real mom was a junkie, but when Zach questions him about his father, Paul claims to not know.
3. Mike’s brought Betty something but she doesn’t need to pay until he installs the faucet. Up runs Edie, who reveals the story about Caleb in the paper; the police are seeking someone to ID Caleb, and he’s being kept in the psych ward for now. Matthew’s also lurking and when they’re left alone, he asks what they’re going to do about Caleb. Betty says they’re going to go get him.
4. At the psych ward, a man known as Monroe is looking for cuffs as he talks to another man. Monroe tells the other man he can handle the John Doe . . . he’s only a half wit, after all.
5. Bree, Gabrielle, Lynette, and Susan discuss the truth about George, and when someone hopes that George suffered, Bree suggests they’ll never know what happened. A car drives up to bring Andrew home. How will he take the news about his father? Bree gets her answer as he angrily wants to know why he’s been brought home. Bree excuses herself and goes to Andrew.
6. Inside Bree’s place, Andrew’s learned about George’s role in Rex’s death, and Bree’s forced to admit George killed Rex because he was hoping to marry Bree. Bree wants Andrew to use a coaster but Andrew’s not going to listen to Bree anymore. He’s angry that Bree didn’t see the truth when he did. He’s going to call his “good friend” Justin to stay over, even though Bree thinks it’s inappropriate.
7. At home, Susan’s surprised her father Addison’s there. He’s only there because he thinks she’s going to blackmail him, and when Susan says that’s not what she’s doing, he’s hesitant about going in. But he enters.
8. Inside, Susan’s shown her dad a picture of her at two when she was dressed as a chicken -- though he thinks she’s dressed as a homeless person. Addison has to get back to work, and wonders what Susan wants with him. She wants a relationship, but has to settle for him taking the picture with her.
9. At work, Lynette tells her boss Ed she wants daycare at work -- and their company will allow it, if they have enough kids. They need Ed’s wife Fran to sign on, but Ed’s sure she won’t, as Fran never leaves her child, Mindy.
10. At the church, Gabrielle yells at Sister Mary, questioning where Carlos is. Carlos is there, helping with mailings preparing for a trip to Botswana. Gabrielle’s mad that she and Carlos missed their massage and Carlos and Gabrielle argue about their different priorities. Carlos ends up walking out. A smirking Sister Mary tells Gabrielle she looks tense -- she needs a massage!

ACT II

1. Susan picks up the phone as it’s her father calling. He’s been arrested…
2. At the police station, Susan chews out her father for being arrested for soliciting an undercover cop he thought was a prostitute. He’s not particularly apologetic about it, and Susan’s creeped out when he tells her his elderly wife isn’t sleeping with him anymore. Susan goes to pay for Addison’s release.
3. Susan’s driven Addison home. He wonders if their relationship is over, but she instead plans a coffee date. He begrudgingly accepts, but will bring coffee, since hers is lousy. As he gets out, his wife Carol sees him from across the street, and she scribbles down info on Susan as Susan drives away.
4. At church, Sister Mary is giving a presentation about her plans for the mission trip as Gabrielle chats with a priest in the background. Gabrielle learns that Sister Mary and Sister Greta usually went on the trip, but they’re low on funds and won’t be going this time. A scheming Gabrielle asks the priest how much they need, and moments later, the priest tells the group that $8,000 has been donated, and the two nuns will be going on the trip. Gabrielle looks pleased with herself as the priest talks of angels being everywhere.
5. Ed’s wife Fran arrives at work where she asks for Lynette -- and Lynette invites Fran into her office.
6. Lynette patiently tells Fran she thinks Fran should give up baby Mindy for a couple hours a day. Fran doesn’t need this, she claims, even after Lynette levels with Fran about needing Fran to sign on to the daycare. As Fran goes to leave, she questions why Lynette had kids if she didn’t want to raise them. Lynette insists she’s a good mother, and Fran says she couldn’t settle for being good; she wants to be great!
7. Mrs. Frome is walking her cat past Susan’s house -- when she notices the garage has the word WHORE painted on it. Susan comes out of her house and makes small talk with Mrs. Frome for a few moments. And then, Susan turns around, and sees the word there…

ACT III

1. Outside Susan’s house, Susan’s father admits that it’s his wife’s penmanship, and they conclude Carol thinks he’s having an affair with Susan. He doesn’t want to tell Carol the truth but agrees to talk to his wife. Edie drives up and sees the graffiti -- but when Susan questions whether Edie has anything to say, Edie declares that the word pretty much says it all.
2. Gabrielle comes home to find Carlos and Sister Mary laughing together. Gabrielle’s happiness at getting rid of the nun fades when she learns Carlos plans to join the nun in Botswana. Gabrielle and Carlos argue about this. After Carlos exits, Gabrielle tells the nun she’s not above slapping a nun, but Sister Mary holds her ground, declaring that Gabrielle should be sure to leave a mark. Gabrielle doesn’t slap her.
3. Lynette tells Tom goodbye on the phone; she’s with Ed, who apologizes for the failure to get daycare. Lynette pushes Ed to stand up to Fran, and claims that the whole family could be destroyed otherwise; Mindy might even grow up to be a stripper! Ed agrees to handle Fran, and Lynette should make the arrangements for daycare.
4. Justin and Andrew are playing a violent video game. Andrew leans over for something more, but Justin pushes him away; what if Bree walks in? Justin will make it worth the wait after Bree goes to bed. Andrew likes the idea of Bree walking in on them, as he hates her because she freaked out after he told her he liked guys. He stopped loving her before she stopped loving him for his sexual interests. When he finds something damaging against her, he’s going to punish her -- and Andrew doesn’t mind waiting.

ACT IV

1. At work, Lynette finds Ed’s brought Mindy to work, even though daycare doesn’t begin til next week. He grabbed the baby from home and ran! Lynette’s flustered by Ed’s action; Fran’s on her way up so Ed gives Lynette the child. Fran and Ed argue in front of everyone, with Fran declaring she’s taking Mindy and going away. That’s when Lynette takes the baby behind the glass door and locks them inside. When the receptionist has a call for Lynette, Lynette snaps at her that she’s busy holding the baby hostage. She won’t return Mindy until Ed and Fran make up. She calls out Ed for being stupid to kidnap his child from home, and questions whether Fran ever feels the pressure of being a supermom. Fran and Ed end up bonding, and Lynette agrees to take care of Mindy while Fran and Ed spend some time together. Lynette’s just happy because she finally has her daycare!
2. At the hospital, Betty sees Caleb. She approaches someone as she’s there to play the piano. The woman wonders if Betty realizes the people at the psych ward won’t be clapping for her, but Betty tells the woman she doesn’t need applause…
3. Susan’s at the supermarket . . . and so is Carol, who moves towards Susan and begins throwing food items at her while calling her a slut. Susan blurts out that Addison’s her father! As Susan spills the beans, Carol spills some actual beans to the ground. Carol learns Susan is 38, and since the marriage has lasted for 39 years, she realizes the adultery has been around since the beginning. Carol warns Susan not to let Addison break her heart…

ACT V

1. Bree tells Andrew she wants him, her, and Danielle to see a therapist together, but Andrew wants nothing to do with her plan to be a family again. Andrew wishes he could kill George, and doesn’t like the idea that George died on his own terms. Would learning George was executed help? Bree wonders. Andrew says it would, so Bree admits the truth about George’s death to her son. Andrew hugs his mother and thanks her for telling him.
2. Outside, Monroe has a syringe of something -- what’s he going to do with it?
3. Inside, Monroe’s looking for the John Doe -- Caleb -- but Caleb’s not in his room. Caleb’s in the room where Betty’s playing the piano. He watches as Matthew helps Caleb sneak away and follows the duo as they leave.
4. Paul tells Mike that Zach is back -- but Mike’s to leave them alone! Paul threatens to tell the police what Mike did to him if Mike makes a move. Mike’s willing to take Paul down with him, if necessary. Paul wants to move away with Zach, but if he does, Mike will make his move.

ACT VI

1. At the doctor’s office, Carlos is going to get a checkup and inoculations before going on his trip. Gabrielle and Carlos argue as she thinks he can help the poor without leaving. As Carlos goes to the checkup, Gabrielle’s left to fill out his form, and she’s told Carlos left out the part about allergies. Gabrielle says Carlos is allergic to eggs, then learns that this could lead to Carlos being sick. So Gabrielle lies and says Carlos is only allergic to fish eggs…
2. Gabrielle watches as Carlos gets his injection…
3. At home, Gabrielle looks over a very ill Carlos. She wonders if the nun’s right - she loves Carlos and fears he’ll leave her if he becomes good and realizes she’s still selfish and needy. It looks like Carlos is still there for Gabrielle -- until he calls out the nun’s name.
4. Susan’s painting over the WHORE even though it’s raining. Addison approaches and Susan says he’s released from all obligations as her parent. He’s not proud of what he’s done, but there are 3 things he’s done he’s proud of; he was a volunteer fireman, he started a foundation to save wild horses, and -- he had Susan. For now, he needs to work on his marriage, but when he’s ready, he’s going to call her again, and she agrees to wait for his call.
5. Mary Alice talks about the timeless stories told again and again, as we see…Zach and Paul…
6. Gabrielle with Carlos…
7. Betty and Caleb, described as a desperate mother taking risks for her child…
8. Carol and her faithless husband Addison…

TEASER
1. Mary Alice tells us Bree’s known as a perfect hostess -- and we see a dinner party at her house.
2. She was known for being prompt…
3. and for the free flowing liquor…
4. and for enjoyable anecdotes.
5. But the perfect hostess gets something imperfect for a change, as she and her guests hear singing from outside. She excuses herself and goes to look outside, where George is singing karaoke.
6. Outside, Bree confronts George, who refuses to believe it’s over even as she walks away.
7. Inside, Bree tells her guests to take their seats. She’s going to serve dessert soon. She runs up her stairs…
8. In her bedroom, Bree gets a rifle from beneath her bed.
9. She takes it to the window and then shoots at George’s car, as Mary Alice says Bree knew how to handle guests -- including unwanted ones.

ACT ONE

1. Mary Alice talks of children believing that good guys wear white hats and bad guys wear black hats, as we see children playing outside. Then George cycles up towards Bree’s house on his bike. He tries to tell Bree he’s coincidentally there, but she knows he’s been circling her house for some time. She thinks he should see a therapist and drives away, leaving him there.
2. At work, Lynette finishes a presentation, but Ed doesn’t like it, and Nina agrees with Ed’s assessment. Lynette’s furious with Nina, as they had all worked on it, and she calls Nina on her awful behavior, insisting that everyone else agrees with her. But none of Lynette’s coworkers will stick up for her. After Nina’s gone, Lynette chews out the group for not doing as they’d originally said. When Stu brings in muffins, Lynette says they don’t deserve fresh muffins.
3. Gabrielle gets a call from the “warden”: Carlos held up guards and then escaped from prison! Except -- he didn’t. That was Carlos calling, and he’s there now, paroled from prison. Gabrielle’s happy. He tells his wife that a Catholic group successfully lobbied for him. And now -- it’s time for sex!
4. Susan and Julie have driven up to her father’s feed store. She doesn’t plan on telling him the truth, but wants to meet him . . . see what he’s like.
5. Inside the store, Susan sees her father say goodbye to a customer. Then, he talks to Susan. He knows what she’s there for: the promotional cowboy hats he’s giving away! He puts one on Susan.
6. A gleeful Susan returns to Julie. She’s met her father, he gave her a hat, and he’s great!
7. In the aftermath of sex, Carlos needs ten minutes to recharge before he can continue. Gabrielle finds letters from Sister Mary Bernard, who helped arrange Carlos’ release, and she laughs at the contents. But Carlos is adamant that time in prison helped him to become a better person, and now he’s going to be good. Gabrielle’s horrified, wondering just what they did to Carlos in prison.

ACT TWO

1. The five women are together at poker, but Lynette has to go soon and finish work, thanks to Nina. They don’t like that Lynette’s job is cutting into poker time. Edie brings up Susan’s father -- when will she talk to him? She’s going to get a job at her father’s store, get to know him, and then, when he likes her, she’ll admit the truth. Edie thinks this is the stupidest plan ever and the other women are also hesitant. But Susan feels she needs to know her father. Edie scoffs at this point, as she never knew her father and turned out fine, but admits the point’s taken when she’s asked when she lost her virginity.
2. Lynette’s at the office, late, when she sees a shirtless Stu bringing a bottle of wine to -- Nina! Stu and Nina are having a torrid affair. Lynette sees this, and Nina sees that Lynette sees.
3. The next day, Lynette’s pleased as punch and Nina asks to see her in Nina’s office.
4. Lynette and Nina face off: if the truth comes out, Ed could fire Nina! In return for her silence, Lynette wants Nina to be nice to her, and Nina agrees to try.
5. Gabrielle learns Carlos is going off to Mass, and she can hardly believe there’s Mass on days other than Sunday. Sister Mary is there, and Gabrielle looks outside to see the nun’s not as old or ugly as she’d like. Gabrielle accuses Carlos of going off with a hot nun, and Carlos laughs this off and leaves. The nun waves goodbye to Gabrielle.

ACT THREE

1. Lynette shows up at work and finds Pat, the new receptionist. Where’s Stu?
2. Lynette’s mad at Nina for firing Stu, but Nina has an excuse: there are tons of black marks on his evaluation, and Ed’s aware of this. But Lynette knows Stu’s gone thanks to the affair. Nina warns Lynette that more firing is coming, and hints that people who aren’t team players will soon be out.
3. At the feed store, Susan’s dad thinks she’s overqualified but she argues she wants a change in her life. He decides to give it a try. She comments on his eyes looking like hers, and he thinks she’s there because his wife hired someone to test him. She denies this, and blurts out that she’s his daughter! She explains what happened, and then he walks away. When Susan finds him in the other room, he’s on the floor.
4. At the hospital, Bree’s meeting with Dr. Goldfine, who’s recovering from his “accident.” She informs him what’s going on in her life, including breaking up with George. She questions him about how to treat crazy people, and he doesn’t like the word “crazy.” Bree saw malevolence in George’s eyes when she broke up with him. Dr. Goldfine brings up the man who shoved him off the bridge, and notes the blue bike he was riding. And Bree picks up on this little detail.

ACT FOUR

1. As Lynette brings him his drink, Stu tells her he’s surprised she called. But Lynette says she thinks it’s unfair he was fired. Though Stu points out his own faults at work Lynette thinks he was fired because of his affair with Nina, and notes that he should talk to Ed. Would Ed listen? Sure, since Stu could sue the company for millions. Would Nina be affected?, Stu wonders. But Lynette claims Nina would just get a slap on the wrist.
2. At the hospital, Susan’s dad tells her he has a genetic heart problem -- and she might have it too! He wants her to leave because his wife’s about to arrive and the truth about Susan could be the final nail in his marriage. Susan won’t go, even after her dad says he doesn’t want to know her and that she’s a mistake. When his wife arrives and kisses him, she wonders who Susan is, and Susan admits -- shes’ the woman who called for help when he collapsed! As she kisses her father goodbye, she tells him she’s not giving up, and then tells the wife that she’s going to be back at the store soon.
3. George approaches his home with groceries when he sees the police are at his house -- and they have his blue bike. He calls Bree and tells her what’s happened. She says she knows what he did to Dr. Goldfine, and he should turn himself in to the police. Instead, George tosses his groceries down and runs away.

ACT FIVE

1. Gabrielle tells Carlos she’s invited the nun over to see just what the nun’s up to.
2. At their meal together, Gabrielle quizzes Mary about her work, and learns the nun works in various prisons and does other charity work. Do Carlos and Gabrielle do any charity work? No, Carlos admits, but he wants to start. When Gabrielle jokes about money buying happiness, Carlos ends up deciding to give away his sports car and have Gabrielle cut back on shopping. Carlos exits…
3. Gabrielle finds Carlos in their bedroom, where she apologizes for her behavior by kissing him. As she says she wants to be a better person, she kisses him all over, concluding by seducing him into their bed.
4. At work, Lynette finds everything’s in chaos, and Pat tells her people are being fired. Ed calls her in next…
5. Ed gives Lynette Nina’s job. But why? Stu filed a suit against the company for sexual harrassment and had to be paid off, which led to Nina being fired and others being let go to allow for Stu’s settlement. She’s told to go can two other people.
6. Lynette sees Nina with a drink outside the office. While Lynette declares she didn’t want Nina fired, she just wanted Nina to be nice, Nina tells her former employee that she did used to be nice -- but working with someone as awful as Ed changed her, and led to her giving up vacations and relationships. Now, that’ll be Lynette’s fate. Nina gives Lynette the drink since she’s going to need it.
7. Gabrielle’s in a robe, post-sex, as she approaches Mary, who overheard the sex. They need to talk…
8. Gabrielle leads the nun outside, and tells her to leave Carlos alone, as he needs to get back into the swing of things. But Mary’s not going to back off. She blames the problems in the Solis marriage on Gabrielle and thinks Carlos could fix the problem by annulling his marriage to Gabrielle. The two face off, with Mary saying she comes from the south side of Chicago and she’s willing to fight for Carlos, since she has God on her side!

ACT SIX

1. George is in his hotel room when there’s a knock at the door. It’s a bellman, who’s given a note to give to Bree, who’s downstairs at an event. The bellman’s to call George if Bree goes upstairs.
2. Bree receives the note from George, which urges her to meet him in room 617. Then, she calls the detective who was investigating Rex’s death, and learns from him that they’ve discovered prescription bottles and a diary which suggest George killed Rex! A shaken Bree ends the call by getting on the elevator. The bellman sees this and informs George, via telephone.
3. In his room, George begins to take some pills, as he says, “She loves me . . . she loves me not.”
4. Bree stops in the elevator long enough to hit the side of the elevator and cry out.
5. George is still talking to himself as he takes more pills.
6. Bree is losing it in the elevator.
7. George downs even more pills with a drink.
8. And Bree’s going in the elevator again…
9. In his room, George calls the operator to ask for help, but ends the call when there’s a knock at the door. It’s Bree, who enters and sees what he’s done. He denies hurting Dr. Goldfine but she’s more concerned about what he’s done to Rex. He thinks that once she forgives him they can call for an ambulance and he can have his stomach pumped.
She pulls up a chair. She wants to forgive him, but he needs to admit to killing Rex first. He does so, insisting that he knows she wanted him dead! He slips away for a moment, and then when he wakes up, he asks for an ambulance. Bree lies and claims she called for help.
10. Mary Alice begins her speech about not being able to tell who’s good and who’s bad…Gabrielle’s in bed, while Carlos is praying…
11. Sister Mary is also praying, and we learn from Mary Alice that people who look like saints often aren’t. Mary uses her fingers to put out a candle.
12. Nina’s packing away her things, and looking sad, as Mary Alice continues to talk about not being able to classify people as good or evil.
13. Susan’s father is with his wife…
14. And Bree walks out of George’s hotel room, leaving him dead, or about to die…

TEASER

1. As we see Betty, Mary Alice informs us she was a gifted woman.
2. FLASHBACK: Betty as a child playing the piano, where her piano teacher noted her dexterity.
3. FLASHBACK: Betty in college playing the piano, with her professor praising her rhythm.
4. FLASHBACK: Betty at her first symphony, where the conductor liked her flair.
5. In the present, Betty's at her home -- the site of the neighborhood watch meeting, and all the neighbors are there. Mrs. McClusky thinks the area's an easy target, and they should hire security. As they debate this, Betty goes to the piano and begins to play. This distracts everyone away from discussing security, and Mary Alice says Betty's true gift was her timing.

ACT ONE
1. Mary Alice tells us Gabrielle had a miscarriage, and now we see her at home. Our narrator says women after a miscarriage don't want to leave their home and want to keep reminders of what they lost. But Gabrielle's not like most people: she puts the baby stuff away and strolls out of her house.
2. Outside, Gabrielle joins Lynette, Bree, and Susan, who were coming over to get Gabrielle so she could join them for banana bread and coffee. But Gabrielle's swamped with errands and agrees to call them later to arrange a new time. The women are surprised by her lack of grief and also don't think she should return the baby things so soon, but Gabrielle holds firm.
3. At jail, Carlos surprises Gabrielle by revealing he's hurt his hands thanks to grief over the miscarriage. He's been given tranquilizers because he ripped up his mattress. When he says he came up with 5 names for their child, he's stunned to find she's nonchalant about the miscarriage and she's been shopping. When he questions her grief -- or lack of grief -- he grabs on to her and then goes to leave, as Gabrielle thinks he should have another round of tranquilizers.
4. Susan approaches Mike's house, as hes' on the roof taking off debris. Is he still going to Sophie's wedding? He's not, and he expresses his displeasure by tossing down his debris near her feet, but Susan doesn't seem to get this. She brings up the book she's writing and mentions her father, a Merchant Marine - but Mike points out the story's impossible as the battle never existed and Merchant Marines only delivered supplies.
5. Lynette drives home to find the twins playing in the street. As she gets out of the car, Mrs. McClusky says the kids are safe as she's been watching them from her house.
6. Inside, Lynette shows Tom the kids playing outside, and Tom realizes they got out of bed. The couple argues about his parenting skills, especially as there was a break-in on the street lately. Tom swears he can watch them, but he briefly freaks out when Lynette questions where Penny is -- luckily Penny's still where she was before.
7. Bree's cutting something out of the newspaper when she turns it over and realizes it's an engagement notice for her and George.
8. Bree confronts George at the pharmacy about the engagement notice, and he claims he forgot to take it out of the paper. She thinks it will be okay, as people don't read the announcements unless the front page is boring, and luckily enough there was a huge flood in Sri Lanka. He insists she wear the engagement ring if she won't tell people the truth, so she reluctantly puts on the ring before she leaves.

ACT TWO
1. A car drives to the Solis home and a man comes out of the car and approaches the home. He startles Gabrielle, and tells her, from outside, that his name is Hector and he's been sent by Carlos to look in on her. She wants him to leave, so he goes out to his car. She locks the door.
2. Tom shows Lynette that the boys know what to do about strangers. Tom's convinced they're safe but Lynette's sure it will go in one ear and out the other.
3. Bree's outside when Leila, one of George's exes, approaches. She's read about the engagement and needs to talk to Bree.
4. Inside Bree's house, Leila tells Bree she dated George for six months. She continues to describe how George became possessive and even set her ex's car on fire. Bree's upset -- with Leila. Bree doesn't believe these stories and tells Leila to leave. Angry, Leila suggests Bree's a good match for George after all.
5. Sophie's happy Susan finally arrived at her wedding rehearsal. As Sophie and Susan start to march forward, Susan asks about her father, as she couldn't find any evidence of his existence. Morty approaches and learns of the problem. Sophie doesn't want to handle this now, and exits, after first declaring she's a bad mother. Morty tells the minister he does know what he's getting himself into.

ACT THREE
1. Morty informs Susan that Sophie went home. She wants to know where her father is, and gets in Morty's car to hear his answer. He has a rambling story about how he lost his virginity in an alley behind a Korean nudie stand, to point out that everyone's done things they're ashamed of. He tells Susan her father's no war hero, and Susan realizes her father and Sophie had a one night stand.
2. George is stocking stuff at the pharmacy when Bree enters to tell him of Leila's visit. George explains that Leila's a liar who still wants him -- and he can prove it.
3. George shows Bree the records on Leila, who had antidepressants and antipsychotics. He believed her, he says, because in the beginning you can be blind to your better half's flaws. As Bree leaves, she removes her engagement ring. And we see George wasn't using Leila's records, but someone else's.
4. Gabrielle comes home to find Hector there. She tells him to go home, as she's going shopping! He thinks she's trying to make up for something, but he's never heard of shopping out the pain. She yells at him.
5. Betty's suspicious when Matthew goes out. He says he's going to look for Caleb in the park, before Caleb hurts someone else -- and he's talking about Melanie, not Gabrielle.
6. In the park, Matthew finds Danielle waiting for him.

ACT FOUR
1. Sophie's preparing her reception as Susan arrives. Will Susan still be her matron of honor? Yes. Susan understands her mother lied to protect her. They end up hugging.
2. Lynette sees her co-worker Stu working and tells him she has a job for him. He's excited, as he's ready for more responsibiity. And she tells him she wants him to kidnap her kids.
3. At home, Lynette brings Tom to the window and they watch the twins outside. Stu drives up and Tom realizes Lynette's brought Stu there to try and kidnap the kids. Stu entices them with various things, none of which works -- until he offers candy. They go to Stu and his car. That's when Mrs. McClusky comes along and uses a taser on Stu, then gets the kids to run away. Lynette's horrified to realize what's happened.
4. At Morty and Sophie's wedding reception, Morty gives a speech about taking Sophie on a 4 month cruise. Sophie begins her own speech, speaking the praises of Morty and Susan. Then she admits she's a horrible person, as Susan's father was no one night stand; he was 33, married, and Sophie's boss. He dumped her after learning of the pregnancy, and his name's Addison Prudy, but she doesn't know where he is now. Someone at the wedding shouts out that Susan's father works at a feed and supply store. Susan's mad as she realizes her father's lived on the other side of town all these years and she never knew. She storms off and Julie follows. Morty questions whether Sophie's still seeing this man.

ACT FIVE
1. Bree's out of it at a restaurant but tells George she's just feeling tired. She explains she's not wearing her ring because the jewel's loose and has to be taken to the jeweler. That's when Ty Grant, Bree's ex, shows up, and George learns Ty and Bree dated in college. George reveals he's engaged to Bree. Bree asks Ty to dance and George is jealous as the dance begins. George cuts in to the dance in hopes of getting Bree to put on her ring again, so Bree gets mad and tells George the engagement's off! George leaves...
2. And George manages to get Ty's car, and drives away in it.
3. Hector's peeling an apple outside Gabrielle's home when she arrives. He notices her new haircut and she points out she's had a full makeover. She wants to pay him a thousand dollars to leave, and he agrees, but they'll need to go to the bank to cash her check. When she gets into his car, she realizes there are no handles and she's locked inside. He tells her Carlos didn't send him there to watch over her. And then, he drives off.

ACT SIX
1. Hector's brought Gabrielle to a park, where they'll be alone. As he goes to get something from the back of the car, she starts to run away -- until she realizes he's pulled out a balloon. Carlos sent him to help her with her grief, which he knows all about after spending 17 years in prison. She's supposed to release the balloon, which will symbolize her acknowledging and releasing her grief. She claims this is a stupid idea, but as she goes to get it over with, she's apparently overcome with emotion and tells him the names she would have given the child. She lets the balloon rise into the air.
2. At home, Mike's dog Bongo barks at something outside, and Mike goes to check it outside. What is it? It's Caleb! Mike chases him down and tackles him to the ground. Mrs. McClosky runs up and agrees to go call the police.
3. The police are there to pick up Caleb, as others look on.
4. Mary Alice begins her final voice-over speech. We see George as he watches Ty's car burn.
5. Tom watches his kids as they play outside.
6. Susan watches her father from her car.
7. Everyone watches Caleb as he's taken away. Betty puts her hand to her mouth, signaling to Caleb to be quiet. He appears to take the hint as he's taken away.

TEASER
1. George starts for Mary Alice’s door as she talks of how George has a history of being unlucky in love.
2. FLASHBACK: A woman closes the door in George’s face -- she’s afraid to wake her roommate.
3. FLASHBACK: A woman closes the door in George’s face -- she wants to be early for work.
4. FLASHBACK: A woman closes the door in George’s face -- she’s saving herself for marriage.
5. Back in the present, Bree answers the door and lets George in -- Mary Alice tells us his luck’s changing.
6. After dinner, Bree’s pleased with how the duck turned out, but George is more interested in her. He lets down her hair and then scoots closer to her. She likes his first kiss, but then he throws himself on her -- and she has to stop because of a rash, which is spreading all over her.
7. Bree tosses George out of her house, as he’s given her hives, while Mary Alice says that at least this excuse for George was original.

ACT ONE
1. Mary Alice says that little girls dream of big white weddings, as do some big girls. She’s talking about Susan, who’s preparing her mother Sophie in Sophie’s wedding dress. Mike’s there too. Susan’s going to put on the dress, and Sophie wants him to leave -- he can’t see her in it! But Mike suggests that Susan can get her own wedding dress. He suggests he’ll be proposing soon but doesn’t want to spill more. Susan claims to be okay with this but clearly wants more info.
2. Bree’s talking to her therapist Dr. Goldfine about the hives. He suspects she subconsciously sabotaged her experience with George, but Bree doesn’t even believe in the subconscious. She denies that the hives are psychosomatic. He points out that she keeps touching where her wedding ring went and she can’t really answer that.
3. Lynette, Nina, and others are at a meeting at work. Lynette will be giving a presentation but Nina doesn’t want her to wear the green suit. Why? Nina forces coworker Stu to note it has stains on it -- and her pants have a split seam. Clearly Lynette’s embarrassed.
4. At the courthouse, David isn’t happy to find that Gabrielle’s wearing a stunning dress, as she was told to look maternal. As they argue about this, someone names Louis, angry at David for his former work, approaches David and then pulls a gun. David manages to not be hit and even ends up with the gun, but then gets shot anyway for his troubles.

ACT TWO
1. Mary Alice talks about a common annoyance like weeds coming back -- and we see Paul’s back, too, mowing his lawn. At their homes, Gabrielle and Bree have seen this and are talking about it on the phone. Does Susan know, they wondet? She’s home with groceries and drops them after seeing Paul. He tries to return a can of pie filling but she doesn’t want him to approach. Bree and Gabrielle join Susan, informing Paul the police have been called. The police arrive moments later.
2. Many people have gathered in the neighborhood, and Edie talks to Ida Greenberg and Mrs. Frome about how they knew Paul -- Edie says she won, as she made out with him! Susan thinks the police should talk to Mike about what happened. But when the police goes to Mike, he denies any knowledge of Paul being a killer and then leaves for a job. Edie questions whether Susan’s smoking something.
3. Tom’s happy to see Lynette in a hot white suit, but when he learns it costs 900 dollars, and she has several thousand dollars worth of suits, he objects. He made sacrifices over the years when it came to work clothes, and now it’s her turn, even though she hasn’t bought a new suit in 6 years. He reminds her of the various things they need to buy for their kids, and she reluctantly agrees to take the clothes back. She tells Tom to leave the room, as she wants to be alone with the clothes first.
4. Bree’s reading in bed when she decides to call…
5. George, who informs her he has an antihistamine for her rash. But she has other things on her mind: she wants him to arrange for a romantic getaway for them at a hotel. After telling him this, she ends the call, and George is happy with this development.
6. At night, Mike comes home to find Susan mad at him for lying to the police. He explains he could go to prison again if he revealed what happened in the desert, and Susan could be in trouble true as Mrs. Huber’s journal reveals Susan burnt down Edie’s home. Mike wants Paul gone too, and thinks Zach will return when he learns Paul is back. Susan makes a guilty comment about that being the silver lining.

ACT THREE
1. Gabrielle greets David at the hospital with a card . She’s surprised to learn she’s the first visitor he’s had in 2 days. His office did send flowers with a card joking about never realizing David could bleed. She helps him cut his meal since he can’t cut yet. He tells her that when the ambulance came he thought he was going to die, and thanks her for not joking about it. Gabrielle feeds a happy looking David his food.
2. At work, Lynette comes in dressed in her drab regular suit, but then turns around--
3. And outside, she gets her nice white suit from the trunk. Lynette rushes in with the new suit.
4. In the bathroom, Lynette changes into her new suit, and tucks away the tag.
5. As she’s going to the presentation, Nina’s flattered Lynette took her advice to heart and got a great new suit. Lynette lies, insisting she’s had this suit for some time.
6. Lynette’s presentation does okay, but then Nina sees the tag. Nina makes a scene and rips off the tag, then tells the others Lynette just bought the great suit.
7. At the courtroom, the judge is happy to see David’s back, but when David starts a move for dismissal of the charges against Carlos, he pauses and then says he can’t continue. David leaves, to Gabrielle and Carlos’ horror.
8. Gabrielle confronts David, who quits. He declares he loves Gabrielle and doesn’t want to help Carlos out. A stunned Gabrielle threatens to shoot David with a gun again, but she can’t get through to him.

ACT FOUR
1. Susan’s working under her sink when someone’s at the door and she calls out for the person to come in. It’s Paul, and she’s mad at his presence. He has the flyer about Zach’s disappearance, and questions whether he’s hiding at Susan’s place again. She says no. Paul grabs for the knife Susan was looking for, and approaches her, appearing menacing. Scared, Susan admits she gave Zach money to go to Utah. Paul hands Susan the knife and suggests she looks jittery.
2. At prison, Gabrielle tells Carlos she’ll do anything needed to fix the problem with David, but Carlos wants nothing of this, as he’s convinced David and Gabrielle plotted this out beforehand so they could sleep together. Angry at this insinuation, Gabrielle tells her husband she’s been faithful . .. while he’s in prison, anyway. She vows to fix the problem as she’s going to bring Carlos home.
3. Bree and George check in at the front desk of the hotel; she wants to go antiquing. When the man at the desk mistakes Bree for George’s wife, Bree feels guilty and tells George she can’t be with him as her rash is back! They drove 3 hours away for this trip and George doesn’t want to go back. He agrees to separate rooms. As she goes to get the antiques brochure, Bree’s happy to tell George the rash is gone.
4. Tom’s mad when Lynette comes home in her nice suit, but she tells her husband she did well in the meeting because of the suit. She needs stuff like this occasionally, because it makes her happy -- and a better parent. And that can work for Tom too, for she has new golf clubs for him. Seduced by the lure of the clubs, Tom tells Lynette he feels like a better parent already.
5. Bree and George are eating together; he ignores her as he sees a kissing couple nearby. He pulls his hand from hers as he fears the return of the rash. But he has the antihistamines for the problem. Should she take them with wine, she wonders? He doesn’t think it’s a problem, and since he’s the pharmacist, she takes the medication -- and then he takes her hand.
6. Later, the combo of wine and antihistamines have left Bree apparently drunk and George leads her towards her bedroom.
7. George lays Bree down in bed and takes off her shoes. He tells her he loves her and wants her to love him back. By this point, she’s out like a light. George loosens his tie -- just what is he going to do?

ACT FIVE
1. Bree wakes to find George near her bed; he tells her he watched her sleep, and she slept like an angel. When she wonders why he didn’t sleep next to her, he says she’s clearly not ready for that. She wants him to be patient with her, but he makes it clear he can’t wait forever. When he goes to leave, she tells him to stay, and Bree says she’ll get over anty rash she develops. The two kiss, and then George falls on top of her, as the clock reads 3:25.
2. Later, it’s 4:30, and while he sleeps, Bree’s sitting near the bed, looking over at George.
3. David finds Gabrielle at home, where she strips down. She won’t leave Carlos, but agrees to an affair. Will he sleep with her on Gabrielle’s terms? David accepts Gabrielle’s offer but as he goes to kiss her, she keeps him away. She’s proven he only wants sex and not love, as he was willing to have an affair -- something Carlos would never do. She also makes it clear she’ll sue for sexual harrassment if he doesn’t take Carlos back.

ACT SIX
1. Paul’s gardening when Mike approaches. Mike tells Paul no one wants Paul there. Paul cleverly suggests what Susan did to get rid of Zach, and Mike asks for more info.
2. Sophie’s pleased by how good Susan looks in the wedding dress. Mike enters with a question that Sophie thinks is a marriage proposal, but instead he questions her about what happened with Zach. She tearfully admits the truth, though she tries to explain why she did what she did. He starts out.
3. Outside, Susan’s crying and pleaing with Mike to listen to her, but he’s done with her and gets in the car. Around the neighborhood, Lynette, Bree, and Gabrielle see all of this happening as Mike drives away and Susan’s left sobbing. Paul sees this and goes into his house, as Sophie and the other women come towards Susan. Mary Alice closes by telling us many little girls dream of a wedding, but some of those dreams don’t come true . . .

TEASER
1. Mary Alice tells us that Lynette’s noticed her boss Nina is often tense -- as we see Nina snap a pencil in half.
2. FLASHBACK: Lynette brought Nina a wave machine in hopes of calming her.
3. FLASHBACK: Lynette brought Nina candles.
4. FLASHBACK: Lynette brought meditation tea balls.
5. Back in the present, Nina snaps at Lynette and two co-workers for an awful proposed campaign. How can Lynette relax her boss this time?
6. Lynette and Nina at a bar. Nina admits she hasn’t been at a bar in ages -- nor has she dated in forever. She’s shy with men. Lynette goes over to a man who’s been checking Nina out and asks him to buy Nina a drink.
7. The next morning, Nina comes to work with mussed hair and wearing the same clothing as the night before. She’s also much cheerier, and Mary Alice tells us that Lynette managed to release Nina’s tension . . . the old-fashioned way.

ACT ONE
1. Mary Alice says that everyone needs someone to depend on . . . a companion, a confidante, a friend. And we see all this around the neighborhood as a car drives up towards Susan’s.
2. The man who comes out of the car is Lonny Moon, Susan’s book agent, and, according to Mary Alice, a close friend.
3. FLASHBACK: Lonny and Susan, promoting her first book.
4. FLASHBACK: Lonny and Susan, as he takes her, pregnant, to the hospital to deliver Julie.
5. FLASHBACK: Lonny and Susan, on a mule in what appears to be Mexico, vacationing in the aftermath of Susan and Karl’s divorce.
6. Back in the present, Susan’s happy to see Lonny, who says it’s after noon -- and time to drink!
7. At a bar, Lonny tells Susan he plans on starting his own agency, and wants her to join him. She agrees but when he discourages her from telling their former agency she’s leaving, her suspicions are aroused. Lonny admits he was moving clients’ money around -- but he doesn’t like it when Susan calls it “embezzlement.” He swears he didn’t move her money. She declares she can’t hate him and agrees to be his client still.
8. At jail, Carlos has been looking at Gabrielle’s ultrasound but he can’t quite make out the body parts -- so she quips she’ll be putting the socks on their kid. Carlos sees that Gabrielle’s glowing because of the pregnancy. But where is David? Gabrielle insists David’s an excellent lawyer who hasn’t lost a case in 6 years. Carlos is jazzed til David shows up, looking especially handsome. As Carlos and David shake hands, David’s hand is on Gabrielle’s shoulder. Carlos gets up and walks off, telling Gabrielle to find him a new lawyer.
9. Bree and her lawyer are at the police station, where the lawyer insists they file charges against Bree or release Rex’s body to her. Bree proceeds to threaten a lawsuit but the detectives don’t take kindly to threats. Detective Barton plays good cop and tells Bree she can have the body. Bree insists on having the body herself so she can give Rex a proper second burial. And she finishes by telling Barton that he’s a gentleman.
10. As a news report about a girl named Melanie Foster’s playing in the background, Lynette’s at work on phone with Tom, suggesting she’ll be home soon. But Nina shows up, wanting to go out again. Can’t Nina go with Trudy? No, Nina doesn’t want Trudy, since Trudy’s hot and single. Lynette agrees to one drink, though Nina ups it to two drinks.
11. Betty gets mail meant for the Youngs.
12. Betty takes mail back to the Youngs and places it in a large box. Mail is overflowing at the Young house.
13. Betty’s arrived at Edie’s with mail for Edie. Edie reveals the postman had a stroke, hence the bad deliveries. As she goes off to get something, Betty’s attention is attracted by a news report from Chicago, where an arrest has been made in an attack on 17 year old Melanie Foster, who was murdered 4 months ago. When Edie returns, Betty’s gone.
14. Betty hurries back to her house--
15. --where she finds Matthew’s seen the news too. He sees this as a positive development -- it means they’re in the clear.

ACT TWO
1. Bree, Gabrielle, Susan, and Edie are playing poker when Bree informs them she’s finally got Rex’s body released, and it took so long because they believed she might have killed Rex. Edie plays devil’s advocate and says that Bree is wound tightly and it’s always the super-moms who snap first. Bree’s arranged a reburial on Friday and wants them all to come. Everyone agrees but Edie, but after Susan kicks her, Edie agrees too. Bree tells the women she was too shocked before to say goodbye to Rex, and this will be her last chance -- unless, as Edie not so helpfully points out, they dig Rex’s body up again.
2. Gabrielle and Carlos are at a group counseling session at prison, watching as one man hugs his wife after declaring he’ll never beat her up again. Another wife, Mona, wants to go next, but it’s Carlos’ and Gabrielle’s turn. Carlos denies marital problems but Gabrielle brings up the trouble with David and realizes Carlos is jealous. When Carlos brings up the affair and there’s gasps. Mona’s husband Lamar questions if David is hot and we see just what kind of problem Mona and Lamar have in their marriage…
3. Mike disagrees with Susan’s decision to sign a contract with Lonny, but Susan defends her decision: Lonny’s like family. When Mike notes that Lonny committed a felony, Susan reminds him that Mike’s done so too. Mike doesn’t believe in second chances, and on that unhappy note, he leaves Susan to go to work. Alone with Julie, Susan tells her daughter that she did something bad . . . she found Zach and sent him away. She can’t decide whether to tell Mike or not, as both choices look bad. But Julie realizes Susan did it for her…
4. A package arrives at the Young house.

ACT THREE
1. Nina wants to go out for drinks with Lynette -- again. Lynette backs out; she promised to help the twins with a science project. Nina makes it clear that she can find Lynette a less demanding account if Lynette’s not available for longer hours. Nina pretends to play nice but knowing the possible consequences, Lynette agrees to go out with Nina again.
2. At the bar, Nina sees a man, and tells Lynette to go get him for her.
3. Betty’s working on a letter when an alarm goes off, leading her to…
4. …take a tray to the basement. We see her with Caleb, her prisoner. She tells him that he must talk about what happened with Melanie -- she can’t let him go until he accepts what he did to her.
5, Upstairs, Matthew finds the letter, which says that they found the wrong man concerning the Melanie Foster case.
6. Betty goes upstairs as Matthew yells out. As she goes, she leaves the door unlocked.
7. Matthew’s mad at his mother for writing the letter.
8. Caleb’s overhearing this . . . and he starts for the door to the basement…
9. Betty reminds her son that Caleb’s confused . . . but Matthew doesn;’t think he’s quite that confused.
10. Caleb is coming up the stairs . . . ready to get out of the basement. But he overhears Betty as she says the authorities won’t care how slow Caleb is . . . they’ll execute him. Hearing this, Caleb goes back to his basement home.

ACT FOUR
1. Susan knocks at Lonny’s house and then enters--
2. --to find a surprised Lonny there. She has the new contract. Susan’s surprised how messy the place is -- and surprised to learn Lonny’s wife is in Minnesota -- and she’s surprised he has no electricity. Lonny’s forced to admit he’s financially destitute, as it’s difficult to pay back so much money at once, with interest. After Susan pressures him, he admits he stole money from Susan too, but paid her back before the other clients. She can no longer trust Lonny but he steals the contract from her and tries to run away. This leads to them falling on the floor together as Susan wrestles the contract back from Lonny.
3. Gabrielle’s outside doing yoga. David arrives, to Gabrielle’s surprise, and he lets himself into her house--
4. --in the kitchen, David admires Gabrielle’s bottle of wine, but she’s more interested in the fact that Carlos is threatened by David. David agrees to tell Carlos something that will allow him to stay on as Carlos’ client. As he leaves, he takes the wine with him, telling Gabrielle to put it on his bill.
5. Lonny tells Susan he had bad real estate investments and it led to everything that’s happened. His wife left him and took everything. Susan can’t be his client anymore but can be his friend. Lonny mistakes her friendship for more and tries to kiss Susan, causing Susan to run out on him.
6. In Chicago, two detectives investigating the mystery of Melanie Foster have received the letter from Betty -- and this looks credible as it includes information about the ax that was used.
7. Bree’s about to get the body but the attendant at the morgue needs one form first. After he leaves, Detective Barton enters; Bree thanks him for her help, as no one could ever believe she killed Rex -- but he presents her with the letter Rex wrote to Bree, saying he understands and forgives her. Barton urges Bree to come clean, but she stands her ground, as she knows what Rex deserves -- so she wheels the body away.

ACT FIVE
1. At prison, Carlos is meeting David and Gabrielle. David’s pitch to his potential client: he does want to sleep with Gabrielle. And he will sleep with her, unless Carlos signs on with him. Gabrielle tries and fails to laugh this off. Carlos jumps at this new offer.
2. Lynette’s at the bar with Nina for the fifth night in a row, but Nina refuses to let her go home. A man approaches Lynette and flirts with her, even placing his hand on her thigh. Though she points out her wedding ring, he has one too! He’s seen her there every night this week…she’s a regular. And, Mary Alice tells us, Lynette realized this inebriated guy was right.
3. In the bathroom, Lynette removes some of her clothing and puts on makeup.
4. Back in the bar, Lynette’s quite the hit. She dances around, is surrounded by many men, and even dances on top of the bar, as Nina’s left alone.
5. Later, Lynette joins a dejected Nina at the table, and Mary Alice says that Lynette knew she’d never have to go out with Nina again.

ACT SIX
1. At the cemetery, Gabrielle, Edie, Susan, and Lynette are there as a late Bree arrives. She’s going to lead them to Rex’s new grave, which she chose because, as she tells them, he died thinking she killed him. She details everything she did for Rex, including checking his back for acne. As Rex’s coffin is placed in the new hole, Bree tosses her wedding ring down on top,
2. Mary Alice begins her speech about everyone needing someone…
3. an advocate … Carlos and David meet at prison.
4. a loving family . . . . Lynette greets Tom with baby Penny.
5. Lonny’s alone by himself.
6. And Paul Young is back at his own house, where he uses a knife to open his mail…

TEASER
1. Mary Alice talks about how the inmates at the Fairview County Jail always looked forward to Tuesdays when Gabrielle arrived for her visit. And we see them in the yard watching as she struts in.
2. In a flashback, Gabrielle walks in as one the men shows off his behind to her.
3. Another flashback . . . one of the inmates dances for Gabrielle.
4. Back in the present, Gabrielle’s walking with Carlos’ lawyer as they argue over her wish to have a conjugal visit with Carlos. When she tells the lawyer he works for her, the lawyer pointedly tells her he’s not her maid -- or her gardener. She slaps him, twice; he calls her a crazy bitch; the inmates help out from behind the fence. As a riot starts to attack the lawyer, the guards move in with gas. And Mary Alice tells us this was the nicest compliment Gabrielle ever received.

ACT ONE
1. Mary Alice tells us that the fathers in the neighborhood could come home to find their families waiting for them -- and we see several fathers do just that.
2. But Lynette arrives home as Mary Alice us says it wasn’t that easy for working mothers.
3. Lynette looks in at Parker and covers him up, also noting an umbrella near him/
4. Lynette goes downstairs and tells Tom she wishes she could spend more time with the kids. As she goes to eat something, he tells her it’s been left out for hours, for Mrs. Mulberry, Parker’s new imaginary friend, a British nanny. Lynette frets that Mrs. Mulberry’s a surrogate mommy, but Tom cautions her about being too sensitive. And Lynette wonders why Mrs. Mulberry got a bigger portion of food than her.
5. Outside, Mike kisses Susan but she wants a bigger kiss. He pulls away; having a casual romance isn’t working for him. Susan disagrees: casual means there’s no commitment -- but also no dating anyone else. Mike tells his girlfriend that Zach’s part of his package now, and if she can’t accept it . . . Mike walks away, and Susan rushes after him, insisting she accepts Zach. They give up their casual romance, and plan to have sex ASAP.
6. At prison, Gabrielle downplays the riot she started, and Carlos is displeased to learn it was because Gabrielle wanted a conjugal visit. Gabrielle thinks sex would help, and loudly announces this before remembering others can hear. He tells her to get a new lawyer.
7. Bree kisses George on the forehead outside her home, and also says it’s too soon after Rex’s death for her to do anything more. Andrew comes out with the garbage and clearly doesn’t care for George one bit. Bree invites George to dinner, and Andrew then tries to get rid of George. George and Andrew get into a shoving match, and Bree wants it to stop. She turns to leave, after telling George she’ll be serving fish for dinner on Friday.

ACT TWO
1. Lynette wakes up a sleepy Parker so they can have doughnuts together before she goes to work.
2. Lynette’s in the front seat with Parker in the back seat of the car. But Parker makes her stop the car because he didn’t bring Mrs. Mulberry. She can’t convince her son to leave his friend behind, so Lynette opens the car door for her. But she’s forgot her umbrella . . . so Lynette runs back to the house.
3. Inside the house, Lynette rushes in to find Tom with one of the twins. She can’t find the umbrella.
4. Lynette runs back out and shows Parker a sunhat. Parker tells his mom the umbrella was left in the showe, but she gets mad at Parker and won’t go back for it. Parker throws his own fit, gets out of the car, lets Mrs. Mulberry out, and storms away.
5. Bree’s doing laundry when Andrew’s about to leave wearing a horrible shirt. She makes him change his shirt right there. He says he’s not going to be at the dinner with George, but she blackmails him into attending by saying he can’t afford the entrance fee to the swim meet he wants to be in soon. Andrew’s appalled his mom would stoop to blackmail, and Bree says she’ll go to any lengths to assure even seating.
6. Susan’s passing out fliers about Zach when a catty Edie approaches; she knows the truth about Zach’s paternity and tells Susan that Susan’s only helping Mike because she loves Mike.

ACT THREE
1. We see handsome lawyer David Bradley in his office as Mary Alice tells us he was successful because --
2. He’s persuasive -- David persuades a woman to kiss him.
3. He’s forceful -- he forcefully kisses a woman.
4. And he wins on appeal -- he appeals to a woman to kiss him, and they do.
5. David tells Gabrielle he won’t take her case. He also briefly talks with his secretary, as his lunch meeting’s been cancelled. Gabrielle vows to throw tons of money at David in exchange for his help in getting a conjugal visit for Carlos, but David’s frank: he thinks Gabrielle should leave her doomed marriage. As Gabrielle goes to leave, she reminds him he’s eating alone, and it’s probably not his first time to do so.
6. Lynette’s with several people from Parker’s school, who inform her that Parker rammed a teacher with Mrs. Mulberry’s umbrella because he couldn’t get his imaginary friend a desk. Lynette’s apologetic, but the people are more interested in learning what caused this. Has there been a death in the family? Lynette musters some tears, as she realizes it’s happening because she went back to work.
7. At the Van De Kamp dinner, George laughs hysterically at his own story, while Andrew chuckles along. In the kitchen, Bree tells Danielle she’s relieved Andrew and George seem to be getting along. Andrew asks George if he’s ever been with a woman; he also pushes George’s buttons further by mimicking the moaning sounds he heard Bree make when she used to make love to Rex. When Bree returns with cobbler, and then makes the same moaning sound as she eats it, George is set off, and tries to send Andrew to his room. Bree’s confused by George, who rushes away when Bree won’t take his side against Andrew. Andrew’s pleased

ACT FOUR
1. At home, Gabrielle gets a message from David, who wants to pass her on to a good divorce lawyer.
2. An angry Gabrielle storms into David’s office. She thinks he’s acting inappropriately and doesn’t know her at all, but he calls her out on being a spoiled, pampered woman who expects excitement. He starts to hit on her but she ends this by informing David she’s pregnant. She negotiates a deal with David and hires him as Carlos’ lawyer, and wants a conjugal visit by noon tomorrow.
3. Susan and Mike are at a park looking for Zach; they split up to cover more ground after first kissing.
4. Susan gets two dishes of ice cream when the ice cream man points out Zach nearby. Susan runs after Zach, getting ice cream all over her in the process. She corners him -- but when he brandishes a 2 by 4, she runs away.
5. A messy Susan finds Mike, and proceeds to lie about what happened as she claims she ate all the ice cream,
6. Later, Susan’s told Bree and Gabrielle what happened. Gabrielle sides with Susan, calling Zach a freak, but Bree reminds them both that Zach is their friend Mary Alice’s son.

ACT FIVE
1. Lynette and Tom disagree about how to handle Parker, and he gently reminds his wife they can’t afford to have two stay at home parents. Frustrated, Lynette attacks the dishwasher. He suggests they hug Parker ten times a day, but while she poo-poohs this parenting method, Tom gives her a loving hug.
2. Lynette finds Parker in bed with the umbrella and a book, as Mrs. Mulberry’s reading to Parker. He gets mad when she takes the umbrella away. Lynette tries to tell her son that even though she’s working now, her love for Parker is real -- unlike Mrs, Mulberry. This only makes Parker angrier and he calls his mother a liar.
3. As Bree and George eat watermelon outside, Bree’s told George she can’t see him anymore as she needs to spend more time with Andrew. He claims he agrees, but thinks Andrew should return to the counseling camp for more aid. Bree doesn’t think that should happen unless Andrew really acts up again. George sweetly tells Bree he likes Andrew . . . who reminds him a little bit of himself.
4. Gabrielle and Carlos are left alone for their conjugal visit, but they don’t have long . . . not that they need long, as Carlos has his clothes off in the time it takes Gabrielle to turn around. And they fall on the bed together . . .
5. After having sex, Gabrielle wonders if they’re going to make it, and Carlos teases her that they just did. But Gabrielle gets serious: Carlos will be a dad soon and he’s going to need to get a job. Carlos is ready to start over with her. He also asks about the new lawyer, but before Gabrielle can answer, Carlos gets a call and learns there’s only 30 minutes left. They decide to make the most of it…
6. Susan sees Zach on a bench, and urges him not to run away this time. He can’t . . . he hurt his leg running away from her before. She convinces him to go eat.
7. Susan and Zach sit at a booth in a restaurant, eating. Zach learns his father’s alive but gone, possibly to Utah. He wants to go after his father but Susan thinks he should come back home with her, though she purposefully doesn’t mention that Mike’s Zach’s dad. But when Zach thinks he might still have a chance with Julie as he thinks about her all the time, Susan changes her tune with Zach and tells him he should go to Utah to find Paul -- and she’s going to give him as much money as he needs to get there.

ACT SIX
1. Lynette’s in bed but gets up . . .
2. In Parker’s room, she grabs the umbrella.
3. Lynette tosses the umbrella in the outside garbage.
4. The garbage man takes the trash away, but the umbrella falls out and to the ground.
5. Parker wonders where his umbrella is, and Lynette plays dumb, suggesting to her son that Mrs. Mulberry left to help Spencer, an English orphan without any hands. When Tom wonders what Lynette did with Mrs. Mulberry, she’ll only say he can’t prove anything without a body.
6. Tom, Lynette, and Parker exit the house -- where Parker sees the umbrella. But before he can reach Mrs. Mulberry, a car runs over and destroys the umbrella. Parker cries over his dead imaginary friend, but when Tom thinks 911 might help, Lynette tells her husband Mrs. Mulberry’s gone.
7. At the swim meet, Andrew gets ready to swim as George joins Bree. The devious pharmacist tells her he’s going to stay away from her because Andrew needs the space, but he does give her a lovely gift. When she’s happy about this, George kisses her. A fuming Andrew leaves the pool and attacks George before he’s finally pulled off of the pharmacist. George is bleeding as an irate Andrew looks truly out of control.
8. Mary Alice begins her voiceover about good fathers -- as Andrew packs his things to leave, while Bree looks on.
9. Gabrielle and Carlos are still together . . .
10. Mike picks up a flier from the ground showing Zach . . .
11. And a crying Lynette blames herself for the death of Parker’s imaginary friend. Tom comforts his wife, insisting that one day she and Parker will laugh about what happened.

TEASER
1. Mary Alice talks about how Danny Farrell has been a paperboy for 6 months . . .
2. And we see him toss a paper in a puddle, frustrating Gabrielle.
3. He tosses a paper in a rosebush, frustrating Bree.
4. And he tosses a paper on a cat in the sun, frustrating Ida Greenberg.,
5. Susan sees her paper’s been left in the street. She goes out to get it, as Mary Alice talks about how obnoxious boys like Danny grow up to be obnoxious men . . . like Karl, who Susan sees getting the paper outside Edie’s home. Susan chases after Karl, who admits he’s sleeping with Edie. She forbids him from being with Edie but he doesn’t care about this one bit. As Susan storms off, Danny confronts Susan about a late payment for the newspaper, but Susan’s too angry with Karl to care. Susan tosses her paper at Danny; the paper hits the bike and causes him to crash. Mrs. Greenberg gives Susan a thumbs up as Mary Alice speaks of an enemy of an enemy being a friend….

ACT I

1.Mary Alice talks about various things . . . beautiful lawns, families, skirmishes, etc., as we see all these things.
2. At home, Lynette sees the garbage is piled up. She confronts Tom, who says he cleans every two days. Why doesn’t she see it clean, Lynette wants to know. It always gets messed up before Lynette returns home. She wants him to clean it up, and as she picks up a plate and shows a utensil stuck to it, she makes her point that this is more than clutter.
3. Bree and Phyllis at the dry cleaner’s, where Phyllis is frustrated the dry cleaner is not waiting on her yet. The dry cleaner gets to them and asks how Bree is, but Phyllis manipulates the situation and melodramatically cries and sobs about losing her son. Bree tries to get Phyllis out of there but she tells someone else that her life’s over now that her son’s dead.
4. At prison, Gabrielle has checks for Carlos to sign, but she’s frustrated she can’t have control of the money herself. She insists she’d visit anyway, but Carlos doubts this and reminds her of the affair. He forgives her but doesn’t trust her. She wants to know why all rich men are jerks, but he wants to know why all beautiful women are bitches. As their meet ends, they kiss.
5. As Susan’s doing the laundry, she and Julie talk about Karl and Edie. Julie knows it’s not a one night affair, and it’s been going on since the day after Julie’s birthday party. Susan remembers that was the time when Karl told Susan he still loved her, but she doesn’t tell Julie this. Julie reminds her mother they’re known for telling each other everything, but Susan says they’re known for . . . sharing clothes.
6. We see the chained hands as they’re banging and clanging in the Applewhite basement.
7. Upstairs, Matthew wants to know why their captive’s making the noise, and Betty says it’s because he knows it’s annoying. Matthew heads to the basement and yells at him to stop, but Betty reminds him they don’t talk to him: that’s part of the punishment. But why does she listen to it? Because, Betty says, that’s part of her punishment.

ACT II

1. At prison, Gabrielle’s meeting with Carlos again and is frustrated because she’ll be late for her hair appointment. Carlos is freaked; a guy named Richie is threatening him for $7,000 because it got out that Carlos is a rich man. Gabrielle’s to take the money to Richie’s girlfriend Rita. Gabrielle doesn’t understand why Carlos can’t handle it . . he did go to college on an athletic scholarship. But, Carlos reminds her, it was for golf.
2. Mike’s at Susan’s place because he left all his pants there when he was going to move in. He gets them, and then wants to know where they are in their relationship. She doesn’t know, though she confesses she’s still crazy about him. She thinks they should keep things casual . . . see a movie, jogging, shopping . . . he pulls towards her, hoping to take things further, but she pulls away. He exits.
3. Phyllis ends a tearful conversation on Bree’s phone and then Bree learns she was chatting with Bree’s electrician, who called to offer Bree condolences. Phyllis chastizes her mother-in-law for being too emotional, but Phyllis says Bree is withholding her grief and some wonder if Bree even mourns Rex’s passing.
4. Gabrielle finds Rita in a rundown home, but when Gabrielle hands over the cash, Rita tosses down the money. As Gabrielle scoops up the money, she gets Rita back outside, where Rita reveals Richie wants Rita to use the money for a boob job. Gabrielle convinces Rita her breasts are fine as is and she should stand up to her husband, who can’t do anything to her from prison. Gabrielle leaves with the money.

ACT III

1. Lynette gets out of her car…
2. Then goes inside to find the house is even more trashed.
3. Lynette gets into bed with Tom and admits she loaded the dishwasher . . . and had to because the place is so messy. Tom apologizes about his system but Lynette doesn’t want any more talk of the system. Lynette really becomes mad when Tom refuses to change the baby-spittle covered sheets. She pulls off the covers and the sheets and hits her husband with a pillow.
4. Lynette ends up on the couch. She watches TV and sees a bunch of mice…
5. And so, the next day, Lynette brings home a mouse and places it inside her house.
6. Susan approaches Betty outside and asks about the banging going on inside Betty’s house. Betty claims to be clueless but when the banging continues Betty says Matthew’s been doing projects at home and she’ll talk to Matthew about it. Betty politely excuses herself from talking with Susan.
7. Bree and Phyllis are at a restaurant where Bree can’t get a hold of the insurance agent on the phone. Lynette approaches to ask Bree how she’s doing, but Phyllis becomes emotional again and takes attention away from Bree’s grieving. Bree slaps Phyllis, which shuts her mother-in-law up. Lynette exits and then Bree asks Phyllis if she needs more time with her menu.
8. Insurance investigator Mr. Flannery is with Rex’s doctor, who’s having second thoughts about Bree even though he’s known Rex and Bree for years. He shows Mr. Flannery the letter Rex wrote to Bree: “I understand and I forgive you.”

ACT IV

1. Bree’s gardening when George approaches and says he’s there to kidnap her . . . and take her bowling. But she’s not ready to go anywhere, though she’s grateful for the effort. As they hug, she’s sad and he looks happy . . . and the hug’s witnessed by Phyllis.
2. At prison, Gabrielle learns Carlos got attacked because Gabrielle didn’t give Rita the money. Gabrielle explains what happened but Carlos demands Gabrielle arrange the payoff anyway. She’ll only do it if she can have control of the checkbook back.
3. Susan’s in her car to drive off when Edie -- who’s on roller skates -- approaches. Edie claims she feels awful Susan learned about Karl and her, but she taunts Susan about her first date with Karl, and how Karl claims sex with Edie was the best he’s ever had. Susan retaliates by saying Karl told her he still loved Susan. Susan drives off, but, Edie comes along in her skates and confronts Susan, insisting Susan admit she’s lying. When Susan refuses to take back what she said, Susan accidentally backs her car into Edie.

ACT V

1. Susan answers her door to find Karl, and she apologizes to him for running down Edie -- whose tibia was shattered. She also cut herself on thorns on the flowers Susan sent. Karl wonders if Susan’s jealous of Edie, and also reveals he moved in with Edie. She wants to be happy for her ex, but wanted to be happy with Mike first, and Karl and Edie are moving in together before she and Mike are. Does Karl love Edie? He doesn’t know, but says he’s never loved another woman like he loves Susan . . . and even now, she’s just down the block from him.
2. Parker’s glad when Lynette gets out of the car . . . he tells his mom that Tom found a rat.
3. Inside, Lynette’s happy to find a sparkling clean house. She kisses Tom and feigns surprise about the rat, then follows that with real surprise when she learns he killed the rat.
4. As Lynette takes the garbage out, she looks into the can and thanks the rat for helping her with Lynette’s marriage.

ACT VI

1. Betty’s with a shrink and tells him a story about having an abusive husband, Virgil, who hurt her and then killed her son eight years ago. She claims she hasn’t been able to sleep lately because of nightmares about that. He gives Betty a prescription for drugs.
2. Bree apologizes to Phyllis for slapping her before Bree goes off to talk with Rex’s lawyer about the will. Phyllis claims all’s forgiven, but as soon as Bree’s gone, Phyllis calls Mr. Flannery -- and tells him Bree has a boyfriend.

TEASER
1. We see Ida Greenberg as Mary Alice informs us that she was known for her drinking problem.
2. We see Ida burping at a sewing bee…
3. Burping at the Department of Motor Vehicles…
4. And burping at the 1st Methodist Church…
5. Back in the present, Ida’s got a bottle outside Mike’s house as Mike comes up and goes in…
6. Where Mike finds Zach with the gun. But when Zach goes to shoot Mike, Susan goes after Zach. However, Bongo joins the fun by biting Susan. There’s a struggle, leading to Susan shooting…leading to Ida’s bottle being destroyed. Zach runs off. Mary Alice tells us that Ida realized that God works in mysterious ways, but he wasn’t very subtle..

ACT ONE

1. Mary Alice tells us it’s been a year since her death . . . as we see her picture.
2. And, Mary Alice goes on to say, things have changed. Children have learned new games . . . Lynette’s kids are playing outside.
3. Neighbors have moved in . . . and we see Betty and Matthew outside their house.
4. And houses have been rebuilt . . . specifically, Edie is at the place where her home’s being made.
5. But there’s been a tragedy. We see Bree’s house and then
6. Inside Bree’s house, Bree waits with her phone and looks at the clock as it’s a bit from 9 in the morning.
7. Susan and Julie are at the hospital where she’s not well as Mike and the police officer enter. Susan tells the officer about Zach threatening her with the gun but Mike sticks up for Zach. The officer decides to talk to Susan more later.
8. Out in the hallway, Julie overhears Mike tell the officer that what happened between Susan and Zach was more of a domestic squabble than a violent encounter.
9. Gabrielle comes out of her shower to find rose petals that lead her to.
10. Her bedroom. John’s there, as he knows where she puts her key. Gabrielle’s angry at him for what he did to Carlos. And her anger grows as she sees he’s brought luggage since he wants to be with her forever now.
11. Gabrielle tosses John out of her house, also throwing out his bag.
12. Lynette’s surprised Tom would let the kids fingerpaint so early in the morning, but she’s even more worried as one of the kids almost gets his dirty hands on her. She also fears she’s been away from work for too long -- 7 years -- though Tom thinks she’s going to do great at her job interview.
13. As the clock hits 9, Bree calls Lynette, makes polite conversation -- and then tells her that Rex is dead.
14. Susan, Gabrielle, Lynette are outside discussing Rex’s death when they see Bree. They go over to her, where she maintains her composure while inquiring if one of them wants Rex’s soy milk. Bree’s mother-in-law, Phyllis Van De Kamp, shows up in a cab, over-the-top distraught about Rex’s death.

ACT TWO

1. Lynette’s being interviewed by Nina, who’s curious about the 7 year gap in Lynette’s resume. When Lynette explains her situation, Nina explains she decided not to have kids, as she didn’t want to try to do both, but Lynette insists she can handle the job and thinks work would be paradise compared to being a stay at home mother. Nina tells her that Ed wants to make the final decision, so the follow-up interview will be the next day at 3.
2. The Van De Kamps are going through the things of Rex’s that Phyllis brought with her. Phyllis shows Bree the tie she thinks Rex should wear in his coffin but Bree objects, as it’s ugly orange. Andrew sees the dirty magazines of Rex’s that Phyllis kept and learns his father liked big breasts, and a catty Phyllis says that it surprised her when Rex took an interest in Bree.
3. At prison, Carlos refuses to talk to Gabrielle as she admits to her affair. She tries to rationalize the affair--Carlos cheated on her by working so much, no one got hurt--and this leads Carlos to start to walk away. What does he want? A paternity test.
4. Betty and Matthew are outside their home as Bree and Danielle approach with a welcome basket. Bree informs the new neighbors that her husband died, and Matthew tells Danielle he lost his father, too. Betty agrees to be the organist at Rex’s funeral. After Bree and Danielle exit, Betty chastizes Matthew for pretending his father’s dead, and declares that he should leave the cleverness to her.

ACT THREE

1. Susan’s putting up a fake security sign as Julie approaches. Susan tells Julie that Mike’s out looking for Zach to put him in prison, but Julie reveals what she overheard at the hospital.
2. Gabrielle’s at a paternity test place where she tries -- and fails -- to get someone else’s test results from the woman behind the counter so she can Photoshop them. She sees another woman crying, learns about the woman’s bad test results, then convinces the woman to go out to coffee with her. Gabrielle then takes the woman’s test results from her.
3. At her home, Bree is with Phyllis and the Reverend who are meeting together so he can get input before the funeral. Phyllis stayed up all night writing 15 pages of funny anecdotes about Rex, but Bree’s horrified to learn they all involved Rex’s life before he met Bree. As Bree and Phyllis argue, Phyllis tells Bree that Rex’s marriage was a disaster. A stunned Bree disinvites Phyllis from the funeral. Bree also threatens the reverend when he doesn’t want to stick up for Bree’s side.
4. Edie’s outside her home as it continues to be rebuilt. Susan approaches and Edie says she’s heard about Zach -- but Edie’s more interested in knowing if Zach hurt Susan. Mike’s there too and he admits he didn’t want to press charges because Zach’s a good kid. Mike gets a call from the police and then he tells Susan that he has to go down to identify a dead body -- Zach’s.

ACT FOUR

1. At the morgue, Susan and Mike go to identify the body -- but it’s not Zach, to Mike’s relief. Left alone with Mike, Susan asks him if Zach’s his son, and Mike confirms this news. Deidre was pregnant before he went to prison but she lied to him about having an abortion. He was going to hurt Paul until he realized Paul and Mary Alice had taken care of his son. A distraught Susan flees, telling Mike she’s going to take a cab home.
2. Andrew and Danielle urge Bree to stop Phyllis from leaving, since Rex would want his mother at his funeral. Bree goes off…
3. Bree tells Phyllis she tried her best with her marriage, and she demands Phyllis gives her respect. Phyllis caves, saying it was easier to be mad at Bree when she’s really mad at Rex for leaving her. Phyllis gets an invite to the funeral again, and then tells Bree to have someone take up her luggage - the whole huge pile of it.
4. At home, Lynette finds Tom on his back, where he can’t get up. She’s mad he’s being a wuss, and as she pulls at his legs, she realizes he’s crying. Desperate to get to her job interview, Lynette reluctantly takes baby Penny with her.

ACT FIVE

1. Lynette brings her baby to the office, where she approaches Stew, the guy behind a desk, in hopes he’ll take Penny off her hands.
2. Lynette’s in the office with Nina and Ed, who has to leave soon for a basketball game. He’s playing basketball himself in the office with some trash. As she’s asked about what she can do, Lynette’s distracted to see that Penny’s been left on the desk. Lynette excuses herself and returns with Penny. Nina’s frustrated Lynette brought her child, but Lynette proves she can multitask as she changes the child’s diaper while giving a speech about what she can do for the company. An impressed Ed hires her and then leaves. Lynette tries to play ball herself with the dirty diaper but it only hits the glass.
3. At prison, Gabrielle tells Carlos it’s his child, but the paternity test results aren’t enough for him, as he demanded fidelity. She, however, thinks that him messing with her birth control pills was worse. They do manage to be reminded that they once expected a happier marriage . . . but, they’re happy to say, at least they’re still rich.
4. Mike finds Susan on his porch. She tells him she was rude before. She knows he must want a relationship with Zach -- but she can’t be around Zach. So they can’t move in together. Susan tries, and fails, to make it appear she’s happy for Mike, as she’s crying. She flees Mike’s porch.

ACT SIX

1. At the church, Betty plays the organ as just about everyone seems to be in attendance. Mike and Susan are seated apart; the Van De Kamps approach the body to pay their respects, but when Bree goes to Rex’s body she sees he’s wearing the awful orange tie. As Bree takes her seat, she confronts Phyllis about the awful tie. The reverend begins his speech.
2. Later, as the speech ends and the coffin’s about to be closed, Bree screams out, then goes through the church, looking at people’s ties. She takes Tom’s tie, approaches the coffin, sits up Rex’s body, and puts the better tie on him. Finally, she tells Rex, “You look magnificent” and then she walks out of the church…
3. Afterwards, Susan, Bree, Gabrielle, and Lynette are walking through Wisteria Lane as Susan’s telling them the truth about Mary Alice’s secrets. They conclude they can’t really know what neighbors are hiding from each other. And as we move away from them and towards the Applewhite home, Mary Alice begins to talk again about how things have changed in the past year.
4. Inside the Applewhite home, Betty’s playing the piano when Matthew comes towards her with a tray . . . just as he’s been preparing a tray of food every night. He added a flower to the tray, which Betty thinks is nice of him. She takes the tray, and he takes the gun Betty gives him.
5. Betty and Matthew go into a basement, where they set the tray down and then leave. After they’re gone, we see a hand as it grabs the glass of water . . . just who are Betty and Matthew keeping in their basement?
